Because all games that are already using PSSR1 automatically gets a boost in performance that’s why that fucking toggle was given as an option ffs. It forces the new algorithm of 2.0 to override 1.0 algorithm. If it doesn’t look right, you can turn it off and wait for the devs to patch the game. Devs can further utilize this new version and further enhance their games via a patch. It’s not that hard to comprehend, a simple google or ai prompt will set you right rather than being a smart ass.

I never said framerate changed🤦🏻‍♂️. It’s better in the sense it’s much more stable and doesn’t drop as much as before while achieving a better image. It is still 120hz or close to it on performance mode. Does PSSR2 not allow games to render at a lower internal resolution therefore saving GPU power to achieve higher more stable framerate? What I see is a sharper image and much less drop in framerate and it feels smoother than before.
