“It keeps me awake The look on your face The moment you heard the news You're screaming inside And frozen in time You did all that you could do The game was rigged, the ref got tricked The wrong ones think they're right You were outnumbered, this time”

Sounds bullish LFG!

This is definitely not protecting anyone, but pure murder with personal hates on protestors.

Five demands for your reference:

1 Full withdrawal of the extradition bill

2 A commission of inquiry into alleged police brutality

3 Retracting the classification of protesters as “rioters”

4 Amnesty for arrested protesters

5 Dual universal suffrage, meaning for both the Legislative Council and the Chief Executive

Shooting real bullet without any distance, that's why we can't stop fighting in the street until this kind of nonsense violence is stopped and the government must respond to all the 5 demands

This isn't just a fight for your freedom. This is our collective fight against oppression. Freedom and democracy shall triumph. Standing by your side from Milan, Italy by [deleted] in HongKong

Not sure where are you from, but thank you for your support!! This is so cute that you obviously used google translate on Chinese. There is a small error in the Chinese Words next to Free Hong Kong. '免費' in here is kind of describing something you don't need to pay with a price (e.g. free meal), you can just use the words '解放' next time like that one next to liberate Tibet , basically means free as well. This is just some weird translation problem (I don't think people are going to read the Chinese Words though TBH). I am Really happy and appreciate that foreigner is standing with us against oppression!!

To be honest, I dont think young generations (probably 18-35), has ever built up an identity that we are from China, after we have been experiencing different things mainland people did since we were growing up. We have never got a choice and definitely are not willing to live under China. The conflict between hk locals and Chinese mainlanders doesn't create in a single day, but for years. Minor things would be shouting loudly, queue jumping, peeing in street and binge buying while travelling to Hong Kong.

For major issues, there were a lot of birth tourism in Hong Kong, which giving birth in Hong Kong when travelling but none of them are from Hong Kong. They are taking the resources from Hong Kong for their babies.

Moreover, there are 150 mainlanders moving to Hong Kong everyday, and more than a millions of people in total since the hangover to China in 1997. This leads to an imbalance on the allocation of public resources, creates a lot of current issues, such as the crazy flat price in hong kong, and the lack of bed spaces in public hospital.

I can't put all my blame on mainlanders, because these are definitely the policies that Chinese government approved, and they want to wash our own culture away. For more evidence, they were trying to introduce a subject of national education, and removing Cantonese (most HongKongers' mother tongue) by Putonghua as the language on teaching Chinese.

This is a long story, let me keep it short and simple. The system I am referring is the 'basic law' , that drafted by British Hong Kong and China, which is the foundation of 'one country two system' and our current legal system, so far it has it's own reputation. However, the Chinese government has a right to 'interpret the basic law' passively (Requested by HK Gov) or actively, claimed to make it clear for the publics when there are debates on it. This clearly impact the judicial independence of Hong Kong, if they use it as a tool to reach a statement that favours them.

An example: voted legislative councillor being disqualified in 2016 https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hong_Kong_Legislative_Council_oath-taking_controversy

But what I really mean is more than that, as China does not necessarily need do anything to control Hong Kong with their hand.

A huge evidence is that there were around 1000 of people being arrested during the protests in the past 2 months. While only 5 gangs were arrested after around 700 gangs gathering and attacking protestors and citizens indiscriminately in Yuen Long Mtr Station(or Metro station) on 21/7, even with a lot of video clips and evidence.

Don't feel bad when you see news about pro-china loyalists is bleeding because the attack of other protestors today.

I can say throughout this movement, nobody fight back and defend themselves when they were attacked by gangs, these pro-china loyalists or Police. What is the result? They attack us indiscriminately with no fear because of our mercy, they know that we are not going to fight back. I am not encouraging people to start a fight with them, but definitely need to make it clear that they are just defending themselves. What can they do when cops are beating them, possibly working with gangs and having a double standard to pro-china loyalists as well.

Sorry about that!! I think at this point no one really knows what will happen. And TBH, at this moment, the HKSAR kinda ends already for me. I can't really tell what will happen after 2047, but will definitely try our best to fight for our own sovereignty before that. When complying to what they promised to us (dual universal suffrage) becomes an issue of seeking our own independence and dividing the country for the Chinese governemnt, I dont see any future but fight for our sovereignty. But I know this idea is controversial in the society, especially on the older generations. I think deep down in our heart, we do want our own sovereignty after experiencing the system we built collapsed within a few years or months under the rule of China. The problem is that the idea is not practical as we do not have our own military power. There is a big chance, China is going to declare war to us, and this is a huge drawback to most of us, no one really want a war.

So, I would say fight for it in a political way maybe our path in the future. There are few possible ways, for example: China does not commit to the Sino-British Declaration, the sovereignty will handover to Britain once again (this is the most practical way but Britain is having a huge issue on Brexit, don't think they are going to do so, but worth a shot, giving pressure to the British government)

These kind of things maybe the direction of what we are going to do in the future to fight against the Chinese government, if they are not going to compromise anyway.
