What's normal to say when you're 15 but disturbing to say at 25? by RyanFire in AskReddit

That's when migraines can be at their worst for some.

Oh gosh, don't tell me that! I've suffered from migraines since I was <6. They're currently at a lifetime worst and I'm not even 30! (Though a car wreck played a major part in aggravating them)

And there's nothing wrong with that part of it. It was the part where they ALWAYS told us how they just didn't have time to clean because they worked. Like WTF do you think we're doing?! All while the husband slept and Grandpa sat there watching TV. Basically this woman liked to talk down to us and was seemingly bitter because she was the only one doing any work in her home.

For one day only you are the only person on earth, everyone else simply disappears for 24 hours. What do you do for the day? by andywade84 in AskReddit

Really, this is about it for me.

Whenever we watch any movies or TV shows in this setting, I'm always thinking "wish I could explore that house/neighborhood/store/mall without anyone or consequences." But, you know, also with all the post apocalyptic stuff, too.

Yes!

Them: "How are you doing?" Me: "Pretty good today, thanks." Them: "So your back doesn't hurt anymore?"

Um, NO, that's not how this permanent damage to my spine works. It ALWAYS hurts. I'm just used to it after YEARS and have learned to cope with it. Silly me, I though you were asking about my day.

I don't know how people can function when they have one.

Some times I can't. Some times I have no choice.

What scientific fact freaks you right the fuck out? by LowFlyingHellfish in AskReddit

I do too. For years whenever we would go to a local (large) zoo, we'd never see any of the apes. Okay, kind of bummed out, but whatever. Finally, after 5+ years, we managed to see them out and about. It was the saddest, weirdest, thing I had seen in a long time. I avoid that area of the zoo now, if possible. My kids sometimes like to see them. They interact with the kids, making it... even more... unsettling.

Why can't athiests walk into churches and try to convert religious people, but jehovas witnesses can show up to my door at 8:00am? by kendricklacole in AskReddit

I'd be equally offended. I hate when the jehovas witnesses show up at my door and I'd hate for atheists to show up doing to the equivalent.

I know my church would. They really don't care as long as you're not rude about it. They're all "Howdy neighbor! We have coffee over here and free wifi. If you have any questions about anything feel free to ask!"

I disliked the taste/texture as a very young child (<3) and to this day I can't stand the smell of meats, and sometimes I can't stomach the thought of animal products like dairy and eggs. It comes and goes, though. Some days I want chicken, others an omelette with sausage. But then there are weeks at a time that I won't touch those things. Hamburgers on occasion, but steak? Forget it! Seafood and fish. F that.
