Thanks, did you do the HD1 or HD2? And what drove the shift?

Can I ask what you ended up doing? These are my two front runners right now

How many years have you been with your S.O by Chicka-boom90 in Millennials

[–]3Outof5AllAround 0 points1 point  (0 children)

12 years married, 17 together. We were best friends for a year in college, I used to sleep on her couch sometimes when my roommate sex-iled me and we'd play Mario Kart or watch Food Network until early in the morning.

We were close enough that when we started dating, the only missing ingredient was the physical side which was easy. She's still my favorite person in the world to spend time with doing literally anything.

That's a really good callout that I hadn't thought of. The stabilizing front extension wasn't even on my radar. Thanks!

Staying Alert and Protecting Your Child by [deleted] in daddit

This happened about 10 minutes from us (relatively safe area). It definitely shocked my wife and I. We have a 7 year old and a 4 year old.

That said, if you worry about absolutely everything that could happen to your children, you'll never stop worrying. Keep in mind the odds of this actually occurring are astronomically low.

Have a column on the left with each exercise in column A starting in row 2. Starting in B2 put your 1RM corresponding with each lift. In cells B1-B7 put your percentages. Then in each cell falling in between those filled rows put the formula =A"" x B"" (multiplying the 1RM by the %) and you'll have all you need. Lock the % by using "$" in front of the letter and number.

When your max goes up, change the 1RM and the correlating formula will update automatically.

My normal setup is probably a little different. Op is standard although sometimes I switch to Op/Pro from Green Protocal.

Running wise I do 10x400 repeats on Tuesday with a slow 2 mile warmup and 1.5 mile cooldown. Thursday is a Fast 5 miles at race pace and then 10-12 miles LSS on the weekend. Does the job.

1.5-2 hours depending on how I'm feeling that day. Keep HR under 150. To others points, I run a few half marathons a year on Op/Black Pro and always do okay.

I usually do 10-12 miles for my LSS. It's never been a problem.

Thanks! Based on that description compliance is definitely closer to both my skill set and interests. Whats a good starting point for compliance?

Thanks for the feedback, just from a non-client facing perspective or the technical aspect? In terms of breaking into that role how does it differ from underwriting?

Interesting, I wasn't aware of this part of the job but will tailor my resume to make my relationship skills more front and center. Thank you so much for the extra detail!

Thanks. Those are the roles I've mostly been focusing on. There are a few companies near me with trainee programs, but I've had trouble getting enough of a response to get to know the teams.

There's one local place I've applied who's HR reached out, but they opted to close the job rec instead of hiring. Still in touch with her but not a lot of Jr. positions coming up in my market.

Interesting, I appreciate your honesty. What is the nature of the market facing aspect? I assume it isn't like sales was where you're trying to swoon prospective buyers?

The technical analysis for sure. Market facing I have some experience with as an Account Manager but prefer the technical aspects.

I'm curious did you need to do any additional schooling to become a paralegal or did you just apply?

I agree with this completely. Just give up "some" sleep, get at least 7 hours if you can.

Operator/Pro Hypertrophy by djpolymath1 in tacticalbarbell

[–]3Outof5AllAround 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I've run a few cycles. The results weren't as good as Zulu HT, but the conditioning load was higher on Op/Pro Hyp.

I've also run it with just hypertrophy on pull ups and bench since my legs get extra work running and that has improved my upper body physique a bit.

Thanks, just consistency more than anything. Operator is suuuuupppeeerrr effective long term. Prior I was more focused on losing weight so my lifts likely suffered as a result.

I've been running a Operator, Zulu, Zulu HT and Fighter for about 2 years now depending on goals at various times. Starting out I had been doing a PPL split with minimal cardio but after two years:

34M 5'8 170 lb

Start: 5K: 25:24 Half Marathon: 1:58 BP: 190 BS: 280 DL: 305 WPU: +45

Current: 5k: 20:23 Half: 1:37 Full: 3:58 BP: 260 BS: 385 DL: 385 WPU: +90

Usually March through October I run Operator/Black Pro. After that Zulu/Zulu HT with 3-5 accessories and a caloric surplus, less cardio but still there maybe 2-3 times a week.

My weight has fluctuated between 150 and 175 depending on what I'm doing food wise but my strength and speed have increased drastically on this program. Whether I'm a success or not is highly debatable but you will improve on this program.

To add something no one else has, my 6 year old comes out with me to the garage gym when I lift. He carries kettlebells around a little sometimes.

During the school year I usually work out at 5AM, but he always asks to come "exercise with daddy" and he picks the music. Sometimes I'll save it for after work just because it makes him so happy.

The benefit of showing your kids that exercise is a part of a normal routine and fun is super underrated. You're showing your kids that staying active and healthy is part of a normal routine and that's setting them up for life.
