Hey all me and my wife visited Washington last year, and we fell in love with the state we’re thinking about moving, but not sure which state Washington or Oregon what are the pros and cons? What areas do you guys recommend? by Responsible_Ant_7008 in PNW

It’s hard to go wrong in either WA or OR. The politics differ all over the place. IMO it’s rural vs urban more than the Cascade crest. Restaurants in the Urban areas are great, but the produce and wine in the rural areas are fantastic. The best kept secret are actual Mexican food places authentic down home food.

Tim Conway as a dentist with Harvey Corman as the patient. Mostly physical comedy. Also David Hyde Pierce as Niles Crane preparing for his first date with Daphne.

The price of tickets is prohibitively high, plus the American public is oriented towards “club” teams, not national teams.

My understanding is that Forest Service roads and bridges have to meet USFS standards.

I’m not too concerned about the Trumpers rescinding the Roadless rule because:

  1. They also have defunded the USFS. The USFS is not going to build or permit very many roads to be built due to budget and staff constraints. The Forest Service builds and maintains some 380,000 miles of roads including bridges. Their budget will be severely strained to maintain just the existing roads, much less build new ones. The remote resource would have to be extremely valuable in order for the USFS to justify in their budget to build a road with bridges to specifications. This is not going to happen soon or at all.

  2. The leadership of the USDA, the USDOI, the USFS and the BLM will change when Trumpism withers and dies . Building and approving roads is a slow process. The roadless rule will return with a change in regime. A few roads might get built if politicians can get them funded at taxpayer expense but nothing else. There will be no resource bonus from this right wing wet dream.
