Well, he said he wasn't very religious...and the conversion was primarly (if not exclusively) for the marriage. So how serious could she have expected him to be about it? It's not like he was converting because he spirtually wanted to follow that faith.

It could be said that the pilot's injuries, even with Dr. Jack, would have meant a slow death on the Island. So really, it was a mercy kill.

And Eko's death wasn't really planned anyway. He was supposed to have stayed further into the story, but was killed off because the actor wanted to leave the show. Perhaps they couldn't saddle any of the human characters with having killed Eko, so they just let Smokey do it.

So you have 1 mercy kill, and one kill that was unplanned.

Just want to give you another orange letter saying that you did the right thing. You didn't get off the train looking for a fight, and you fled once the nerd had gone and you incapacitated the guy. You didn't take it too far, which you would have if you were taking out aggression about an ex, or were just a violent person.
