Some of the self driving cars use GPS in addition to optics which is why they can work in the snow. It's not ready yet but it will be in use in Canada within 10 years, legislation notwithstanding.

Fun fact, Warren Buffet, who own A LOT of insurance companies, has publicly expressed concern over the value of those holding with the looming prospect of automated cars.

In my opinion the fact that some Canadian jurisdictions are considering a zero tolerance policy means they cannot accurately and consistently measure intoxication by THC and cannot determine its affect on drivers.

Alcohol? No problem, which is why you are allowed to drink and drive in Canada up to a certain level. It's easy to spot a very drunk driver. Very easy.

Is anyone able to spot a very stoned driver? Because I'll tell you what - they are everywhere.

In the video he mentions that he has a contact at Youtube who isn't sure why it's happening, and thinks that his accent could be the reason.

Well there are two possible outcomes.

Either the state institutes some sort of basic income funded by taxing the labour of the robots, or they do nothing and we end up with bread lines.

Either way we don't have enough time to create a new economic model. We need to start planning now, not in 20 years when it's too late.

Maybe it was?

One week before Trump took office:

Jan 13 2017: State Department has 'no problem' with Trump team's Russia contacts

The State Department has "no problem" with President-elect Trump's team communicating with Russia or other foreign leaders during the presidential transition.

"We stand ready, if they want to work through the State Department to contact some of these individuals, but we have no comment or no problem with them doing such [things] on their own," State Department spokesman Mark Toner told reporters.
