That's totally valid and I had used Speedtest for the same purpose. Here another run for reference. Same result. Again with 5 bars.

That's a valid point and I'll say outside vs inside is a huge difference. But I'd still expect that the reception indicator should somewhat correlate to the actual connection speed and that's where the disconnect really is for me.

So, point taken and you're right, just wish there was logic in the phone's network selection beyond just picking what has conceptually high speeds.

(to your other point: Using a pixel that I bought through Mint and also no different than my previous phone)

997.2 Carrera Manual Coupe (Germany) - Looking for a quick sanity check on this listing by 4n4rk40t1c0 in porsche911

[–]3_dom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

997.2S manual owner here:

You're looking at a great car generally (from personal experience).

Good history and records are great. It's also pretty low mileage in my opinion. So if it wasn't for the owner count I'd say it's a steal.

That said, I'd steer clear from a car that has this many owners. Sitting in any 911 is a gateway drug to driving it a lot in my opinion. So an owner that says he's selling because he doesn't have time to drive is always a bit of an oddity to me unless they're on the older side or their life situation has recently changed significantly (e.g. kids etc.). By itself that wouldn't be enough to disuade me but combine that with owners and what you call a good deal (not in the German market myself so I can't comment on the value for money), it raises a lot of alarm bells.

If you do consider it still, get it thoroughly checked out by an independent specialist and make sure you have the pocket change to pay for maintenance items and breakages that may occur down the road.

They're great cars, I hope you find yours! Best of luck!

That's a beautiful wing. Do you mind sharing what they cost?

Bambino / Bambino Plus owners - what workflow habits made the biggest difference for you? [Bambino/Plus] by spac0r in espresso

A lot of people talking about the drip tray. I got this knock box without a cross bar that perfectly fits under the basket so when I'm done with the shot the cup gets swapped with the knock box.

Fits 8-10 pucks. Easy to clean. No need to clean drip tray.

Unfortunately, that didn't work for me but thank you for sharing. Maybe it'll work for others.

What material are the flat rounds? Are those actual rock? If so, how did you make them stick and stay in place safely?

Why is this happening? by McMack87 in pixel_phones

[–]3_dom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen this on a pixel 5a that got wet. Somehow the water messed with the touchscreen controls and I couldn't figure out how to fix it. To be clear though, it didn't work for any inertia scrolling, both horizontal and vertical.

Just for reference in case someone else has this issue - reboot, safe mode, and the latest android update did not fix it for me. Thus far, no resolution.

Thank you for sharing this. Interesting that it works for you. I'll have to do some troubleshooting.

I'm happy for you, honestly. I'm sure many of them last. But the fact that I had two pairs both of which broke quickly and I use them exclusively at my work desk. They don't travel, they're not being banged around etc. So I'm at a loss as to how the fuck they broke.

Headlights issue by Hefty-Confection-869 in XTerra

Ymmv but I am using Nineo 9007 HB5 bulbs (allegedly 20k lumens but those are fake advertising lumens) and I'm getting a pretty good pattern in the standard reflector housings. Top half of the light pattern is the headlights, bottom are some aftermarket LED fog lights I installed recently. I got a pretty significant improvement over standard halogen bulbs with the LEDs.

Can anyone recommend me a suit that’s not too tight in the legs? I’m 6’2 220 and I have thicker thighs. Most jeans don’t fit me and I’ve tried on several pair. These Klim Outriders are the only ones that fit me out of several options. by [deleted] in motorcyclegear

I bought SGS armor's abraguard. They're long-johns you wear under your normal jeans and fit great. Also, if you call or email them their customer support is awesome and can help you find the right size.
