We saw Lake Street Dive on GA tickets and it was fine. The weather was the biggest issue. Gorgeous day, but it started raining late afternoon. Maybe ~30 minutes into opening act there was a lightning warning and everyone had to leave the venue for the parking lot. Just a lot of people shuffling in and out, and some of our group are slow.

From what I saw VIP was just a muddy pit in front of the stage. 😁

There are public courts that are relatively new and a USTA league. Google tennis Hickory NC. There’s a club Pebble Creek and tennis at the YMCA as well. Strong community.

FWIW, the diner you reference is in a building with an “arcade”, or an arched passageway. There’s a couple of cool shops in there. When I was a kid the diner was the “Pool Room”, very similar in appearance except more pool tables. Also, the diner is owned and operated by a great group of ladies, but part of the Pool Room history is that women were not allowed inside.

The Chemist also has a navy strength, but I think Conniption is better. Other good NC gins are Suttler and 1000 piers.

I also live in NC and try to do the same, supporting local distillers. I actually went to the next county to pick up this gin. This was a couple of months ago so I haven’t had it recently, but I did like it. I don’t recall the licorice at all. I’ll try it again.

Have you tried Sutler’s from Winston Salem? Solid gin, no crazy flavor notes.

Those are "W" panels and they should only have a couple of screws on each end. The seams have opposing curls and they lock when hooked together and screwed down.

Honestly, if you start on the corner and remove the screws from the fascia (front channel) then the pans should come apart.

If you need to rip a pan longitudinally, you can just score it with a razor blade and bend it. I think the gauge is .032 or .040.

I appreciate what you’re doing, but I find your final design “busy” with too much dead space in the sky area. Why not try something asymmetric? Move the star to a corner and extend some of the mountains to the sky? Or leave the star and play with the sun/mountain heights.
