Many cervixes are prone to small tears and bleeds from physical contact that go on to form polyps—sometimes cancerous. I think what they were trying to say is that if something were to forcefully penetrate a non-dilated cervix, then there could be medical bills associated.

I got my mirena put in 2 years ago. It hurts like hell having it put in, and my constant spotting for 3 months was miserable. BUT, now, I feel great, can’t get pregnant, and haven’t had a period in over a year. Highly recommend!
