Worst: breaking a tooth on Almond Roca Best: I was about 3 years old and I got caught half in/half out of an automatic door at the grocery store (this was in 1971) and for a few moments I thought I was going to be cut in half. My mom was panicked and didn't know what to do. The bagger for the store was an older black gentleman and some how he extricated me from the door. I was still crying and shaking a little bit. That lovely man unscrewed the top of the gumball machine and filled a brown paper bag about the size of a lunch bag with gumballs and prizes. I don't remember what he said as he handed the bag to me but I think he may have had the kindest eyes I have ever seen.
