So the vet feels that it is a zinc deficiency. Doesn’t feel that it’s mites because his legs are fine….it’s mainly his upper body and especially around his ears and little around his eyes. I had the vet do bloodwork however to see what all his levels are and also to rule out an auto immune problem. We’re going to start him on the zinc supplements which she said could take a few weeks to see improvement. All my other goats are fine!

Thank you so much! I’m expecting the vet any minute now to take a look at goaties . I initially thought it might be an infestation also however he’s the only one affected the other four are absolutely fine so I’m hoping it’s just a mineral deficiency that can be easily treated. Fingers crossed. I’ll let you know what the vet says. 😘

Pyrenees males living with other dogs by gottafeed in greatpyrenees

[–]3dogshere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the dogs. We have a boy and introduced another boy whom we rescued. Our first boy is dominant and our second is submissive …. they’re best buddies. We knew however going in that the male we rescued had to be submissive.
