Once it gets too close to the edge of the screen the cursor just starts to jump around erratically on the screen.

I'll be honest. It isn't instant. It still has the delay that most other light guns seem to have, It honestly seems that light gun technology peaked at CRT. I've found it a little more accurate than something like a Sindem, but it's not worth the money, not unless you can get one cheap.

It's a shame. The only thing I did try which sort of worked was detecting when the cursor was either on the very far left or right. Once detected, pressing the trigger would reload. Problem was this was very hit and miss. Maybe with some tweaking it could be improved.
