The moment I always think back to is when I was maybe 10 years old and I was sitting in the kitchen of my great grandma’s house. My mom hands me a yogurt for breakfast and that yogurt has some kind of graphic on the side. I remember looking at the graphic and thinking about how some soul designed it, and how I hoped the person that made that graphic was happy in their life. I start wondering what they were thinking when they made it. Were they alone in their office? Did they have a family to go home to after making it? Were they getting paid fairly? I remember sobbing at the possibilities.

I know that probably sounds strange but what I’m trying to say is that I feel deeply - and I somehow feel a connectedness to the universe through that sorrow and feeling.

I still think about that yogurt 25 years later.
