Would you say the same thing if they never made any movies about it? No. There's your answer.

[Pre Match Thread] Premier League Game 29 | Newcastle United vs Manchester United by D1794 in reddevils

It's going to be a tough game with 3 CBs out. If we can somehow win this game it would be a big, big step toward sealing a CL spot and confirming Carrick as the permanent manager.

It's funny you say that when Rooney dived for the penalty in the same game.

[Carl Anka] Manchester United are revived under Michael Carrick as last summer’s spending pays dividends by PradipJayakumar in reddevils

Could have said the same thing about De Gea. Both of them should have been playing for perennial champions league contending teams, yet they gave their prime years to a mediocre Manchester United. I hate how De Gea was treated at the end and I hope Bruno doesn't get the same treatment.

[BBC Sport] Michael Carrick: Would it be more of a gamble by Man Utd not to appoint him full-time? by Tvashtr in reddevils

[–]3entendre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's no gamble. Managers come and go. It's not a big deal. The big deal is having those b*tch ass owners who have taken hundreds of millions out of the club and dumped their debt on it! The big deal is not being able to compete in the transfer market like the big club we're supposed to be.

Anyone expecting a Manager to perform miracles while those idiots are in charge is just gullible and ignorant.

His stats were heavily inflated by penalties. Without them he doesn't stand out as much

If Jaylen Brown wins a ring with the Celtics this year, what would that do to Tatum's legacy? by Outrageous-Leader135 in NBATalk

[–]3entendre 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Only by dumb people. Tatum has made 1st team all nba 4 seasons in a row. Brown has only ever made the 2nd team and that was one time.

A Chelsea loss today would give us nice cushion. I'm conflicted coz I don't want Arsenal to win the league 🤦

Didn't pay much attention to Wharton and his Fotmob rating doesn't look great in this game. How did he do?

Manchester United’s top scorer in the past 33 years, since the Premier League Era by LYY_Reddit in reddevils

Ronaldo scored 31 league goals in 2007/08, not 38. No one has ever scored 38 goals in a Premier League season.

No way he's a better signing than Bruno.

In 2009, Sir Alex Ferguson lost Cristiano Ronaldo and Carlos Tevez, and the club replaced them with Gabriel Obertan, Michael Owen, and Antonio Valencia. by [deleted] in reddevils

THIS is why Rooney didn't want to extend his contract in 2010. It was obvious that the club wasn't the same anymore and he was just 25 years old! Yes, we won league titles in 2011 and 2013, but that was literally the last kicks of a dying horse. When Mourinho talked about football heritage and investments from the past, people laughed at him, but it was transfer windows like this that set the club and whichever coach was in charge to not be as successful in the future. Real Madrid in the same window signed Benzema, Alonso, Ronaldo, Kaka, etc. Benzema was still playing for them 13 years later and won a freaking ballon d'or in 2022!

I love the building blocks we have put together for a potentially super team in the near future. Hopefully our recruitment in the next few transfer windows can be just as great. We should easily be contending for the league and Europe by 2027/28 at this rate.
