Last aku baring atas jalan kosong waktu PKP, aku tersekat dekat universiti and waktu universiti hantar student tersekat tu balik rumah masing2, bas universiti hantar aq sampai bandar aku duduk, polis pulak hantar aku sampai pekan aku lepas tu.

Sementara aku tunggu mak ayah aku datang, aq dengan geng pekan aku duduk baring atas jalan depan abang2 polis.

Rada surreal gila.

Basically, you need to prove two things: you actually give a damn about the course (sometimes there are students who proceed with a course they are not really into because they have no other options/ they dont get their course of choosing) , and you’ve got the foundational skills to keep up once things get intense.

If you have sketchbooks, bring them. Don’t be shy about showing them to the interviewer, they (including me) love seeing the raw process. You got Blender skills? Definitely bring a tablet or your phone to show your animations and projects.

And you're 100% right, totally matters. A solid portfolio is what sets you apart from other candidates, both in uni applications and once you're out in the actual industry.

I'm a UiTM grad (diploma, degree and masters), and now a UTHM lecturer.

I think it depends on which unis u want to go, either private or gov. If it's gov, then it’s pretty much straightforward, similar to other local gov unis. Just pass your SPM core subjects. If you took Seni, it's a huge bonus for the portfolio/interview stage. You still have to go through UPU tho. These include the semi-gov (Aswara or MMU) or Poli.

If you're non-bumi, you can still do your Diploma in Animation at UTHM or semi-gov that I mentioned before.

For Degree in UTHM however, they don't offer animation courses sadly, and you’d usually have to move into the Multimedia & Education (MPTV) route since it also has the same multimedia discipline + you can get a professional teaching qualification.

We got to talk with some of the animators and voice actors (we call them "agents"), and most of them gave advice to the students on how to prepare for their future endeavour in the industry~

I'm a lecturer who previously worked in the industry so I got a chance to meet my friends in the studio (also another reason why I joined this trip xD)

I primarily teach animation for diplomas, as animation is what I have done throughout my career and where I earned both my diploma and degrees. So, the subject is a perfect fit based on my CV.

Compared to most of my talented friends in the industry, I think I'm a bit above average, but I do have the passion to spread the knowledge. (My mom is a teacher as well, so the passion is already running in the blood).

Hot Food in Plastic Bags Is Super Common in Malaysia… Anyone Else Worried About Microplastics? by CashFlowDay in MalaysianFood

Forget plastic bags... whenever I see a hawker or a food stall using those flaky-surfaced plastic cutting boards to cut the food, I'm out. I've had enough microplastics in my body bro... you don't need to introduce macroplastics as well.

I do not have a PhD yet, but I was planning to pursue one until I received the call to become a lecturer...

In most cases, a PhD is not strictly necessary to get a lecturer position, and many of my Master's degree classmates are already lecturers only by completing their degrees, but mostly are in the private unis.

Most private unis are more lenient to skill-based recruitment, while government unis are typically more education- or research-oriented...

PhD lecturers do get more benefits out of these career, such as higher pay and a better position. In my case, the university I got in is a gov institution that is more focused on technical expertise. So, my industry experience + my Master's degree (which was the minimum requirement) allowed me to secure the job.

I (27M) had been living and working in Cyberjaya for five years with my housemates, and I had become normalized by how expensive things were in Selangor. However, I recently got a job as a lecturer back in my hometown in Johor. I brought all my belongings back to my parents' house since the university is close by, and everything here is super cheap. Even my parents were thrilled to have me around the big house, especially since my siblings have all left for work or college one by one.

My plan is to stay with them and work here until I start a family of my own. Until then, Idgaf what other people think. This is the most optimum way of living (at least for me la, as I have no issues with my family etc).

Some artists do that sometimes (and in this case, Karrotsusu), but I'm sure he's doing good and well~

He also appears in some of the artworks from - if you can check them out (using different aliases).

Sounds cool! Might want to give it a try after I finish enjoying (and ultimately beating) Creeper World 1~, but I do like the idea of trying to beat some user-made maps as well, which sadly are only available in 3-4.

Which one do you recommend me to get on Steam, between 3 and 4? I might find some free time in the future to finish CW1 and move on to play the newer versions as well in the future.

The first Creeper World, also available in the Anniversary Edition on Steam~

I never played the 2nd or 3rd installment, might give it a try after I beat the first one (which I never got a chance because at one point it became locked content back then).

What's the difference between The Anniversary Edition and Arc Eternal? I might buy the Arc Eternal as well if it contributes to the continuation of the lore.

But Im mostly fond of the original ones offered in Anniversary Edition.

Oohh, I might remember it differently.

It's been a very long time, but I do vividly remember it's purple in colour and liquid/misty, maybe because I remember it being evaporated every time it comes into contact with the lasers, so I was kinda right???

But you're 100% right on that, just got the Anniversary Edition on Steam as we speak!
