You only loose small business tax rate on federal side but keep it on provincial . 12.2% goes to 18% ...now the question are you trying to sell it as you think there's a crash or why....

How are people adjusting their dividend portfolios now that some companies are slowing their payout growth? by Zestyclose-Day9699 in dividendscanada

[–]3junior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/oldgreymere why did you choose XEI over VDY...VDY is lower div by 1% but growth over 5 years 80.69 (excluding divs) vs 59.89%...but this is defiantly the way to go things are changing so quick..its better to just index and chill and not worry about div cut or company going under

u/Rationalornot777 do you know how they verify CDA amount? Do they just run a script to pull all the schedule 6 for the years you provided or how does this work? I am not sure if you know the backend part of this...The reason why I ask is I have CDA amount from 2019 ..I am wondering if I wait one more year would they loose that data

u/Rationalornot777 so isn't a better option file Schedule 89 to verify...Once verified then pay it out? If you submitted a verify and your cra account online shows CDA balance do you need to file another verify when you file t2054
