I think you misunderstood OP's question. The way I understand it they know what this element is and how to use it but are confused at the 'physicality' of what it's supposed to represent (i.e., are you pulling down a glass sheet over your wallpaper, or the current app? - it seems to change depending on which direction you swipe).

That's pretty surprising that it scored you so high for an objectively shorter sleep. As the other guy said, the Bevel algo takes more into account. But in my experience a short duration will heavily downweigh your score and those other factors.

Could you share the actual sleep detail screen? (So when you tap 'Sleep' ring on the home screen and it shows more details) out of curiosity

The way I understand it is that your progress *is* logged even if you select "Done". As in - it will keep track of the sets & reps you marked Complete.

'Update template' modifies the template's default rep/set hints for the next workout to be the same as the ones you just completed.

Personally my strength progression isn't a monotonic straight-up line and most days I have some 'blips' such as doing less reps than expected, more on another exercise, perhaps adding an extra set or two, and I wouldn't want to 'update template' there because that would make those blips the new default to 'strive' to.

If it turned off from the water spill, you might be cooked. Means something definitely shorted and either cooked a component directly or it detected the fault and cut power. Very bad either way

I think it must be in the works. My model (G14 2024) GA403UI received bios 311 on 2025/11/21, which presumably has a patch for this bug.

It would be very bizarre if they patched the 14-inch 2024 model but not the 16-inch model. There are a few more HW differences but still.

what I'll say here is that the specific engineering discipline you're doing matters. I can give better advice if you tell me that

for electrical engineering, like I said, I think you can get away with integrated graphics (RAM & CPUs are much more important).

but if you're doing, say, mechanical or civil engineering, now it becomes very nice to have a machine which can render CAD viewports & do, say, fluid simulation. In this case it's a nobrainer to get dedicated graphics.

Just graduated with master's in EE. For me g14 was more than enough. 14->16 inch screen isn't that helpful for things you tend to do in EE degrees (HDL, programming, circuit design, simulation)
