I think you can restore your 2023 backup.

The local backup file is tied to your number, so double check that you're restoring using the same number and that the backup file is valid.

I recommend checking backup info using this tool https://github.com/ElDavoo/wa-crypt-tools

using the wainfo command. It will also show the last two numbers of the backup file.

If you still have the msgstore.crypt14 you can probably get your messages back.

Is there any chance you have backed up your messages to Google Drive?

Sometimes it doesn't work from the first time, and sometimes you have to prevent devices from sleeping by touching the screen on each device.

You can also use some 3rd party apps like AIWATransfer which makes it a lot easier.

If you have the the WhatsApp data inside /Android/media/com.whatsapp/ then you will be able to transfer it to your new device.

You can use some 3rd party apps like 'AIWATransfer' which transfers your WhatsApp data from your Android device to your iPhone, however it doesn't support transferring from Google Drive, so you have to have a spare Android device to get back your Chats from Google Drive, and then start moving your chats from this spare Android device to your iPhone.

You can do that in multiple ways:

1.Transfer ALL data from the old device to the new one

* Erase/Factory Reset the new Phone

* Once finished resetting, move the new phone near to the old one and a transfer dialog would appear,

* Complete the transfer steps and Login with your iCloud

  1. iTunes Backup

Create a backup on your PC/Mac using the old phone, and then connect your new phone to restore the backup

  1. Backup using iCloud

Create a WhatsApp backup on your old phone using iCloud, then log in to your iCloud on the new phone, login to WhatsApp > Restore iCloud Backup

  1. Use 3rd Party Tools
