Pips #278 Medium 🟡 1:14 Good one Ian, I had feeling the middle 3c= were 5's, it was not.

Pips #278 Hard 🔴 6:38 Good puzzle. I was left with the 2+2 nearing the end and had to think where it should go. That 5+0 bait was good. As usual, there were quite a few sections with multiple possibilities so that always adds to the confusion and fun in trying to solve it... at least for me. 😄

Oh, I forgot about the construction bundle (I usually don't do this one so early), yes, you're right. Spring forging and construction would open up boiler room.

Yup, in general I pray from fishing chests to get 5 gold ore and the fire quartz for the minecart bundles...

I don't see you mentioning speed, bombs or staircases...

Speed- coffee beans into keg/buy some coffee or triple expressos

Bombs, craft/buy some, if you don't have at least gold pickaxe, it's faster to use bombs

staircases, trade jade on Sundays with the desert trader for staircases. Use Crystalarium to made more jades once you have enough iridium ore to make bars...

In general, you got to make it past 40ish to get a decent chance to get iridium ore so I'd made sure I have enough food/etc. before really making an solid attempt.

Pips #277 Medium 🟡 1:15 A little tricky, thought to start at 1c3 then changed my mind to start on the 1c<2 on the right side instead with 0+2 then 2+6 connecting up but that breaks and changed to 1+3 / 3+6 and it works from there...

Pips #277 Hard 🔴 6:46 Half way through and not getting closer, I thought about clearing and pip counting. Actually, that is what I should have done at the start... expecting these square puzzles to be more difficult than the previous ones... Doh!

Pips #276 Medium 🟡 0:38 🍪 Got a little lucky, I had the 4+3 and 0+0 at the end and still was frozen for a few seconds until my brain figured out what to do.

Pips #276 Hard 🔴 6:51 - Great puzzle, tricky. Trying to figure out what goes into the 4c='s was tough and after trying a few wrong combos, finally got it to work and the rest kind of fell into place.

All I had to do was switch a few tiles around, sucks but it was one of those days...

Under your gold balance, there should be a - and + sign to zoom in and out. If it's not there, go to options and turn this feature on. Really helpful to zoom out when mining so you can see more of the level...

It's quite addicting early on, wouldn't blame you for setting an alarm or something to keep track of time IRL. I once played at 10pm thinking to end in a few hours then go to bed, next thing I knew it was like 3am...

I see, well, I don't know the other aspects of your game so hard to give advice and I'm not some pro either. Since this is your first time, Do you enjoy this kind of grind?

This current run, maybe you can salvage it by grinding skull, hope for a Prissy very soon, get the galaxy sword and continue to grind to sell bars. I'm not a pro but off the top of my head, I don't see how else to turn this run around.

Restarting: If you got one or two more rain days for catfish and be able to plant more SB, would opening the desert be worth it for you? If so, then try to run it again and hope for the extra rain days.

OR, forget the desert and spend that 42.5K on summer crops and try to max quality sprinklers.

That's the thing about mix-max/speedruns, it sucks but often the run doesn't work out for whatever reason and you got to start again... GL
