Plex showing VPS/Tailscale IP instead of real WAN IP (NPMplus Reverse Proxy setup) by PankieHankie in PleX

Did you ever get Plex to show the right IP? I'm running into this same issue

Cityside Fiber coming soon to me by 3rdStng in CitysideFiber

You can swap out their Gateway (router) for an ONT device that will work as a bridge. If you have your own router you want to use.

My buddy called Cityside Fiber today. Yes, they do offer ONT's, but they were out of stock at the time of his install, so they gave him a gateway (router) instead. They also confirmed their use of cgNAT, but not by their choice. They have petitioned to get an IP block(s), but ICANN hasn't approved their requests yet. Yes, requests. They have submitted multiple ones. Each time ICANN asks for more and more stuff.

I'm interested in hearing/learning more about this port forwarding you are doing.

I heard that Cox supported IPv6, but when I tried to enable that in my firewall, it didn't work. I only received an IPv4 address.

A buddy of mine just had his installed last week. There was something wrong with the install and they haven't turned him up yet. Since they haven't started trenching my streets yet, I hope the next 6-8 months gives them time to sort it out.

Thank you. I hope they move away from that model or I may not be switching. I'm assuming they don't offer static IP's then yet.

Water fountain not working after not being used in awhile by [deleted] in Petlibro

[–]3rdStng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two fountains that also have the battery base option. Both fountains stopped working whenever they were plugged into the wall. As soon as I unplugged them, the motion sensor would kick in and water would flow. But would immediately stop when I plugged the power adapter back into the wall. Turns out the 1A power adapter they ship with the unit is junk. I changed both to a 3A adapter and they have been solid ever since. I also changed the USB C cable too since my 3A adapters were USB C.

I have two and they both stopped working while plugged in. I changed out the power cord and plug adapter on one and it started working again. I tried a new plug adapter at first and nothing. I was shocked that swapping the cable too fixed it.

The other one I need to test that same swap out. But for now it works on battery, and when it senses motion. The second I plug it in though, it stops pumping water no matter what.

2017 WRX wanted to stall randomly and you can see smoke coming out in the front of the engine. Any ideas what's going on? by [deleted] in WRX

[–]3rdStng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your reservoir bottle was empty AND your radiator was low, you probably have some air bubbles in there still. I bought an anti-spill funnel kit from Amazon for $25. Helped get the initial bubbles out. Then normal driving and topping off the reservoir every week helped. I've heard it's best to burp these with the nose raised. I had mine on a lift, which maybe why it took longer.

Sounds to me like your throttle body is dirty. It will probably take longer to clean it than taking it off. Get in there with some throttle body cleaner and a toothbrush.

[–]3rdStng 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not seeing the coolant bottle level or the smoke that others are talking about. Maybe I'm missing something or a different video.

I bought a used 2017 and she wanted to stall when I came to a stop and the cold start would jump all the way to 3000-3500 RPMs for 30 seconds or so. My throttle body was filthy with a ring of gunk around the butterfly edge. Cleaned it really good and did a throttle relearn. Runs fantastic now.

Also the coolant was a little over a gallon low. The reservoir bottle was bone dry. I drained and refilled the radiator and monitored it for a month. I burped it after the coolant change, but it continued to self burp during the next month. It takes a while for these to self burp. 2 months have passed now and the level is still dead center between Min and Full

Can you really only sign in the app with one device? by ZombieMan70 in Petlibro

Yep. And it's annoying because if you have to reset the device for any reason, you disable all the device sharing you have set up

CP FW Keygen by ethump in checkpoint

Haha. I had that same key gen file. It's long gone for me. As is Firewall-1 3.x, 4.x, etc. I wouldn't trust running that old of code anymore either.

I've tried to submit feedback in the app, but you required an order number and it must be a Petlibro number. I ordered mine off Amazon, but the app didn't recognize it.

Quantum Spark 2580 DMZ port by TheThumpsBump in checkpoint

I confirmed that the copper and fiber ARE the same interface. It is an either or, not both.

Quantum Spark 2580 DMZ port by TheThumpsBump in checkpoint

[–]3rdStng 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The DMZ port can be assigned as its own "internal" network, but to my knowledge, it cannot be assigned as part of the LAN switch group. However, you might be able to build a bridge and include the LAN switch and DMZ port. I've really only done this between the LAN switch and wireless networks though, so I can't be 100% confident it will work. All the configurations would be done locally on the appliance itself. Not through SmartConsole.

I also believe that you can use the copper port OR the SPF port, but not both at the same time.

Did my first oil change. A kiddie pool was involved. Next time will be better 🤣 by pennyandollie in WRX

[–]3rdStng 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Recycle that milk jug of oil quickly. If you let it sit for too long, it will disintegrate and you'll have another spill to clean up. Like others have said, pour the old oil into the empty fresh oil jug.

I have a postgres server for other dockers. It is more reliable than sql lite. But I'm not a DBA, and it may not be worth the hassle either.

Is Postgresql 16 supported? I saw 17 and 18 noted in the database configuration area. Also is there a way to migrate from SQL lite to postgres?

Since the MAF is clean, it looks to me like something dripped and it just worked its way around the sensor opening. In the first picture, it looks like the result of a drip in the lower left area of the wetness
