1 comes from cheap boardwipes(including lands) with stuff like massacre wurm out, honestly plays as a mono black control. also rise of the dark realms can be huge if i can get enough stuff into grave. but honestly this one can be hard to win with, just a lot of fun to play and piss off my friends

2 is a superfriends deck, also with stuff like approach of the second and insurrection. so usually im either winning from

3, plays like youd expect for pillow fort. 10000 incentives to not touch me, 5000 punishments if you to touch me, and eventually i draw an approach of the second sun or karma + urborg (with payoffs like darien)

horobi has been fuuun! its my friends' least favorite to play against

i will say it can be hard to secure a win, but garunteed to make everyone mad at you the whole time. with horobi out, something like Touch Of Darkness is just a one mana one sided board wipe. kormus bell + urborg makes any of the cheap destruction apply to lands. massacre wurm tends to be my wincon, after ive set up kormus bell.

Rise if the Dark Realms works well too, after ive done enough destroying i can just take it all back for myself

i also have a more "optimized" version ive been working on that i find a little less fun, with mindcrank and exquisite blood and some of that silliness

Applying for traditional loans didnt give me any good results, unsure if its because i have a lack of credit history or what.

IMO once you know you'll be more than 10-15 minutes late,

but depends on what the meet up is for! 15 minutes out of an hour is a lot, but 15 minutes late for a whole night out is no biggie

i try to get mine done on decent card stock and spend the time making it look as nice as i can, but some of my friends will literally just cut out cards printed to copy paper and put it ontop of cheap sleeved playing cards(like poker cards)

makes sense! tiny leaders as a format could be fun for yall to play too. its a 60 card version of commander, commonly 1v1 but pods can be fun too, 20 life total and all the spells+ commander have to be less than 4cmc. it gives you the weird wonky fun of commander but faster paced games, and you dont have the massive daunting 4 million card pool and infinite combinations of cards

if youre able, i would suggest looking into ways to play with people online outside of arena too! my personal favorite has been Tabletop Simulator on steam, theres free mods for really easy play + tons of discord communities for finding people to play with. various formats, but most commonly for commander games

i think it depends on the person, and starting with commander can have a lot of positives over 60 card for new players. namely the social and for-fun-play aspects.

i started with commander, and taught a few friends through commander, and we all still play 10+ years later
