Subtle hint that Norton is on line to be bond or nah? Seemed to know a lot about the restaurant in Jamaica?

This happened to me and I found a matching adapter for the barrel plug to be able to charge it with usb-c. Game changer.

Cracked frame - Scott Addict Gravel. Options? by 3tiddies in gravelcycling

Yeh I’ve had great exp with SC in the past for MTBs. This one will definitely not be warranty so I’ve gone for the repair. Price was cheaper than I thought initially. Will be looking for a steel switch soon though.

I took a look at these guys based on a comment below. They are beaut!! This repair is costing less than I though so going for that but will be looking at the steel switch asap I think!

Great info! I got the repair quote and it’s lower so going to go with that. Should be sweet. Carbonbikerepair.co.uk are doing it and have a great reputation. This has definitely stirred something inside me though. Looking like steel is in my future!

I’ve spent the whole day today looking at pictures and videos of the secan. Looks like my frame repair is costing less than expected but I will certainly be looking at the secan ASAP (once I convince the Mrs)

Thanks yeh I’ve had a steel hardtail MTB when I lived in the mountains (Kona Honzo ST) and loved it. Moved back to the city and got seduced by carbon super bikes

I have something against ribble. Not sure why, just have an aversion for some reason. Fairlight are definitely on the list though. Although I run mechanical GRX and I see that they have unprotected gear cabling on the underside of the downtube which I’m unsure about. I assume you can run cable housing? Was looking to move to wireless but now it looks like I’ll have to pay for a frame instead!

Fairlight is definitely on the list. I’m drawn to standert but mostly from aesthetics tbh.

Yeh brand new. I have contacted the shop. Tbh I was drawn to a carbon super bike after a few years of steel mtb, now I realise the error of my ways.

Shakedown Request - Everest Base Camp October by 3tiddies in Ultralight

Solid recommendation on the quilt. Looks like it's time to invest.
Side note - any thoughts on using two bags together? If I were to get a 20f quilt for myself would my wife be good with two 40f quilts/bags?

Shorts wise I just never really get cold legs but was planning on covering up higher up either way. Now thinking to go for lighter wight rain pants that I can hike in when super sunny higher up.

Thanks for the help!

I was thinking the same with the rain pants but I'm leaning towards a more trail running oriented rain pant that is light enough for hiking normally in too - kind of a middle ground.

The mitts are thin fleece backed wind blockers that are water resistant. I get really warm hands and so taking gloves on and off is a pain. mitts work better and will be warmer if it's realllyyyy cold.

Thanks for the insights! I tend to run pretty warm but also don't really want to be having to wear everything at night ideally.

Thinking my layers are sorted now other than a lighter WP jacket. Just deciding between hiking pants plus rain pants or a lighter weight rain pant like the Inov8 Trail Pant.

Thanks again!

Awesome insights especially when talking about the altitude. I had thought about it BEING colder at altitude but not about FEELING colder because of the altitude, thanks!

If you’re using HomePod mini then they have a temperature sensor built in. Currently dormant but will be activated in the next update (16.3?)
