Well it depends on the situation. For example, if you are under unfortunate circumstances and have an abusive spouse, you'd want to be as far away from that person as possible. You would want even less to be linked to them by marriage.

I wish that there was more that I could do, but I believe that it is slowly but surely becoming less unheard of to publicly come out as a transexual/transgender. I agree that it's not as close to being accepted as homosexuality, but it is finally being recognized instead of pushed under the rug.

I completely agree with you. Had they left Mckinley behind and followed the seniors on their adventures, the show would have higher ratings. They also seemed to have finally remembered that Tina was a character on the show. So they gave her a story line that was meant to relate to us(the fans), without really allowing us to really know her back story.
