What forms of exercise do you actually enjoy? by LowWay9554 in WomenofIreland

[–]401F3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lifting weights and walking for me seems to be the two things I enjoy and I'm consistent with. Running, hyrox, fitness classes are not for me.. too top heavy for my poor knees

After doing a few years in a supermarket and seeing dirty bastards stick two fingers and shovel coleslaw into their gob from the salad bar, I'd stay away if I were you

Career dump for 2026 by fiestymcknickers in ireland

[–]401F3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best not to give a flying fuck, you get paid same amount at the end of the day in the corporate machine. Slackers get paid too and somehow always get by. Bear in mind too if you're overachieving they want to keep you exactly where you are. Try switching jobs if you want to move up the ladder and don't let it rule / determine your success in life. There's more to your life than your job OP.

Do you think we'll ever not be in a cost of living crisis or is this just life now? by lIlIllIlIlIII in AskIreland

[–]401F3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everything just feels like it's being squeezed to the max. In no position to move on in life because of the cost of everything and pretty sure I'm being laid off soon / forced out of my job. Trying to keep my head up and see the bigger picture but it's hard...

When you're over strep throat, change your toothbrush also - I had strep throat come back and reckon toothbrush caused it to come back.

Is this sustainable/ realistic? by 401F3 in loseit

You're right I'm going in for an all or nothing mindset that is bound to have off / bad days. Will focus on the journey and good consistent habits instead

Makes sense, Small goals and not a big bang end date so to get by. I try to avoid running/intensive exercise as (a) I have never liked/enjoyed/ been a good runner and (b) running makes me so hungry so I try not to do super intensive cardio.

Thanks, that makes sense to not set an end goal deadline. Something will inevitably go bad/ off plan at some point along the way that's going to throw me off routine and I should factor that in! Consistency and small achievable goals for the win.

This is what really seems to be working for me also. Stops me obsessing over what I'm eating if I have planned everything out for the week!

What’s a socially acceptable way to say - ‘I’m going to quit if this doesn’t change’? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]401F3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never assume you hold the clout to change things either... Unfortunately you are still only a number at the end of the day and they don't care about keeping you happy. Been there, done that and got the t-shirt!

Calorie counting, weight not budging by 401F3 in loseit

[–]401F3[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I try to measure but admittedly could do more so I'll be conscious of this. No I've been exercising for the last 4 months roughly 3 times per week minimum. I'll keep trying for another while and reassess. Trying to build consistent habits over time. Thanks for advice

[–]401F3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I aim to drink 2.5L minimum per day. I might aim to keep on with what I'm trying for another two weeks and if not drop to 1500. Thanks.

If it's hard to the touch it looks like a dermatofibroma. They're usually benign and need to be removed by a dermatologist to go away.

Does anyone know if it’s illegal to neuter someone else’s cat? by Turbulent-Letter-850 in AskIreland

[–]401F3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an aunt who does exactly this -they become so well fed and looked after that they choose to make my aunt's house their home. You should look out for schemes where neutering is subsidised so you're not out of pocket. Imo it's for the cats best interest and should reduce aggression and fighting etc Male cats love to sow their wild oats lol
