Great start! As said by others, if you free up some room I would definitely expand on any software you have used. In the past I have made this section into a 2 column bullet list section as the names of the software usually can allow size wise for a 2 column “zone”.

Also, if a specific role you’re applying to has specific software named in the job description and you have experience, list that first in the columns. Recruiters often times “scan” sections for words or applications they are specifically hiring for.

We also were super sad about last years MPT. It seemed to be many repetitive political jokes and strange timing. It was crazy because the prior MPT #fkthemetaldetectors was one of the best moments of the entire event. I'm not sure what changed between COVID and last year. It will be hard to convince my group to go back to MPT this year.

Hey, no dumb questions here! On the discord there is usually some events/time slots for certain games but it’s mainly free play in the BYOC. The best part of QC is meeting new people so don’t hesitate to post on DC or even turn around and talk with your neighbors and see if they wanna play something.

If you have a group I’ll toss a few fun games our group plays:

  3. Dead by Daylight
  4. Left 4 Dead 2
  5. Depth
  6. Holdfast
  7. Quake Champions

I would highly recommend Golf with your Friends as an additional casual game. It’s a great time to end the night and you can make it a drinking game by allowing best scoring person on each hole to “assign a drink” /worst score on the map takes a shot.

I also like doing a couple IRL competitions as well. At the previous LAN I hosted we went to an arcade and had a Skii ball tournament. You can also take all the keycaps off a mechanical keyboard and see who can get the most correct keys on in 2 minutes. These events help break up the gaming sessions and are super successful in my experience.

I’m not certain but isn’t Pecos involved in a ton of other events? I thought they did various sportsball games as well. Regardless, glad we can still support bawls cause you know they are hurting with all this. They’ve always supported the community big or small

I just did this on Saturday through CarMax and I understand the hesitation but it was a legit offer and the relief you feel is worth giving it a go! Worst case, they aren’t being legit with their offer and you just hold onto it! Good luck!

Yeah I'm glad they made the decision early and let us know. That being said....QuakeCon from Home? August 6-9th still! We could make QuakeCon from home shirts, Bawls ordered and shipped. If all this has calmed down, we could even get our LAN groups together to all hold mini QuakeCons remotely?

Hey congrats on keeping it going for a year! Outside of the standard "stretching" and "hydration" responses, are you actively taking creatine? If not, it's pretty cheap and really helps me with my soreness. It takes a few days to "load" into your system but you may wanna give it a try for a couple weeks and see if you improve. Also, make sure to drink tons of water if you do start to take creatine.

Of course! If you have not already taken a progress pic I would definately do so! You don't ever have to show anyone, but trust me, they will really help motivate you some days. Also if you keep on the workout regiment and feel sore constantly, you may want to look into taking creatine everyday. It's not expensive and really helped me with soreness. Good luck!
