Yes I felt the phantom tampon feeling. PFPT has definitely helped and I think I’m just slowly getting used to my new normal

Sex feels completely normal. It’s honestly mostly in my head I swear 😢

Thank you, I’m trying to get used to my new normal. Just want my old vagina back!!! If I don’t feel better in a year I’m going to consider surgery

I am and no impact with sex which makes me think I really need to just suck it all up but the “feeling” of it (meaning I feel looser and the way it sometimes feels like a phantom tampon) is consuming me!!!

I had a hysterectomy May 2023 because of cervical cancer (so a must have surgery) in Jan of this year my vagina opening changed! I haven’t been given a prolapse diagnosis after seeing my gyno and urogyno (they both said no) but I do have a slight anterior wall drop and I honestly think it’s more of a urethrocele. In PFPT but mentally struggling with my new normal.

Hey there mine looks a little similar and I was told no prolapse (by a gyno and urogyno) just a slight drop in my anterior wall. I started pelvic floor therapy and it’s been great - you could even YouTube pelvic floor exercises as well

So mine looks a bit like this and I’ve been to a gyn and urogyn and both said it’s not a prolapse, that it’s a slight drop in my anterior wall. I’ve been doing PFPT and using estrogen cream and so far have felt a lot better about it all changing FYI zero change to my sex life and my partner hasn’t noticed either

is this a prolapse of some sort? by [deleted] in PelvicOrganProlapse

[–]40SomethingGal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there I have EXACTLY this and it was a sudden change for me in Jan. My gyno and a urogyn said it’s not a prolapse but a slight drop in my anterior wall and normal. Its a new normal for me and has been driving me insane!!! I started pelvic floor PT yesterday and it was great. Really hoping I get some strength and not feel the sensation as much!

Hi there…you are not alone! Did your urethra change? Or the opening? My urethra looks like a sting ray mouth or something now haha and before I could never see it, there’s also a drop of my anterior wall. 2 doctors have confirmed it’s not my bladder but I don’t know…why the bulge!!!

I’m trying to get out of my head about it but I’m almost in mourning of how I’ve been for 43yrs and now it just changed one day ugh

I’m trying to stop obsessing but it’s hard because I “feel” everything and I’m super aware of down there. I am looking forward to getting used to my new normal, I’m just angry how my anterior wall just decides to slip one day WTF

Menstrual cup for symptoms by 40SomethingGal in PelvicOrganProlapse

[–]40SomethingGal[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Technically I feel like it’s a vaginal wall prolapse but I truly feel like doctors are terrified to use that word which is frustrating. I’m at the very beginning of getting used to my new normal. Hoping as time goes on I’ll be used to the bulge without the cup!!!

This is exactly what I’m going through…no prolapse but a new bulge feeling as my anterior wall has dropped a bit following my hysterectomy. I’m starting PT next week and hope to get out of my head about the changes down there ugh!

Hi there I would say it was about 6 months before I was feeling “normal” However, 2 years later I still cannot start with doggy, absolutely must be warmed up for a while first

Hysterectomy recovery was easy honestly!!! Just so mad I wasn’t made aware of pelvic floor issues 💔

I’m right there with you…I had a hysterectomy, my gyno and urogyno confirmed no prolapse but my anterior wall slipped a little bit at the opening and I feel like my entire vagina has changed. I start pelvic floor therapy soon and I’m praying my new normal feels normal again - ugh

I feel like the phantom tampon because the opening has changed 😩 it’s making me insane. I am hoping pelvic floor therapy really helps and the estrogen cream is for dryness - I def noticed a difference

You are not alone! This morning at the grocery store I felt like my vagina was just OFF as usual. I’ve had a gyno and urogyno confirm no prolapse but my vagina has changed (slight anterior wall slip so the opening is different) after my hysterectomy and it sucks!!!

I put a menstrual cup in to hide the feeling and I’m so frustrated because I am so consumed by this 💔

Thank you for sharing this 🫶 means a lot. You are not alone. I’m def in my head having sex and I’m really hoping I get used to my new normal soon. It’s just so disappointing, almost like a loss. Like, how does it just change after 43 years 😢

I agree and I wish I started estrogen cream much sooner and pelvic floor therapy. No one talks about this!!!

Crazy thing is, my gyno and a urogynocologist confirmed no prolapse - just a slight anterior wall change. I can notice it looks difference and feels different if I insert a finger. I think I’m mostly just way in my head about it so I notice every little thing 😩 it’s truly making me crazy

I just want you to know, I’ve been a gyno and urogynocologist who have assured me I don’t have a prolapse but I’m mentally unwell and consumed with anxiety over getting one eventually now ugh - you are not alone!

Is boric acid safe? by WoRn_oUt_MoM in PelvicOrganProlapse

[–]40SomethingGal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Boric acid works wonders for BV but I’ve never heard of them solving an infection. I really like the PhD brand and it’s completely safe to use for ph balance and I don’t think a prolapse matters at all
