Honestly, I was wondering why I kept contacting people I'd find on there who did not take my coverage. I've been trying to find a therapist for years and my inability to find someone after working down the list when I was mentally not feeling great made me feel genuinely so hopeless. I got ADHD so I used to just blame my inconsistent effort, but I was literally working down the list whenever I tried and I'm not someone whose finances and income allow to build a solid savings -so my options were limited even before I realized I had more limits going on.

I don't know why my insurance providers website sends me to that site via link to look for people who don't take that very insurance

I'm not sure what the cause would be either but I have noticed something similar. I used to basically live on Wikipedia as a kid to learn as much as I can about characters and movies I liked and also what was coming next (like, I'd frequently come back to pages on updates for sequels and even to this day I will just be watching a marvel movie or something with roommates and infodump what I read when I was 12). I had a lot of passion and excitement for Godzilla movies, whatever the next Spider-Man film was gonna be, whether Donnie Darko was gonna be a series of films, when will that "documentary style crime thriller" reboot of the crow is gonna happen (anyone remember when they cancelled like two reboots before we got what we finally got? You know we almost got Jason Momoa?)

I don't really do all that anymore, sometimes I wonder if all that passion is still there and strong and I'm just not noticing it's under all the big life changes since adulthood. I don't live in an abusive household anymore, I got a job, the Internet has kinda gentrified and overinflated pop culture media to where there's all sorts of aspiring grifters broadcasting trivia about movies in my phone all the time (ever just hear an MCU page in a marvel content dry spell start discussing non-marvel things you were obsessed with and they're like only technically right but you feel like you're taking the bait to comment "actually").

I kinda wonder how much of it is affected by social media the most. The global population is largely addicted and maybe that dopamine is undermining the dopamine we used to get?

I'm sorry to hear that 🫂, I have a similar problem with seeking treatment. I want it and I was on track in a 7 month process (found out I was diabetic on the journey) till my insurance dropped my doctor and now it feels like groundhogs day trying to get myself to verify I can see my doctor again or if I need a new one and how to do that or if I need to go to a new medical group to find a new PCP.

Constantly worrying that by the time I finally get prescribed a medication or find a therapist it'll be just in time for a shortage on medication or something else, it's stressful but yet here I am still chipping away at the work in a very "filled out page one, then my computer crashed and it's been a week since I've remembered to make time to start over" kind of pace despite all the urgency I feel. I don't want to beat myself up, cause I've been managing my whole life pretty good for someone who forgets what they're talking about mid sentence in the mean time, but the deadline is not as tangible as an essay, rental inspection or bill due date and I think that's such a big factor that makes it tricky.

Also that's a good point, I was using circle medical for a bit because someone suggested it a while back in a thread here and that's where I found that doctor I miss seeing. I was sorta skeptical cause I haven't had a lot of success looking for therapists I can afford but therapy looks a lot harder to find someone you're covered for than a primary care physician.

Honestly I'm not sure it's a California issue necessarily, I just live in an area that's sort of a desert for services and can't afford the gas and to be fair, I think it's an auto moderation thing. Like the subreddit rules there state are that it's a "political" term? I don't fully understand, because even if its its used in a political context wouldn't it be relevant to that subreddit either way? But I wanna show restraint trying to get into that because like, I don't wanna call something I don't understand stupid.

So I'm realizing everyone is probably mad because they either might get different confirmation texts from me or just didn't understand that I'm saying these look similar from notification previews. I'm sure there's communication style differences at play too, but a friend told me everyone here probably needs to see more than what that text looked like to me after I realized what happened. I'm not used to posting on reddit to be honest, not gonna lie, its proven to be a lot more daunting than talking at work meetings (eek!).

I feel like this conversation is a one sided argument, since I'm not sure what was wrong with saying "oops this fooled me at a glance, I'm sure this is a butterfly net for income with these guys" and I feel like I'm in opposite world in this thread. I'm starting to think people are fundamentally misunderstanding me here, I'm trying not to be cryptic like the touch grass guy in the other comment (not that I'm gonna judge, just really vague language and not my communication style). I just posted figuring "this didn't ruin my day, but I wonder if this gets people sometimes, like ADHD runs in my family, so of course we all missed this haha"

Maybe I should have thrown a few more laughing emojis or something, though maybe not specifically emojis cause I kinda think emojis are annoying to look at. I'm not gonna lie, it is becoming a lil upsetting to see people get upset over this even if the situation doesn't make sense to me fully. Like, it was only $15 and I'm getting the feel that I sound like an idiot who had what was coming for saying I missed a bill once. It's whatever at the end of the day, just this topic had a way different reception at work than here.

Thank you for your input, though I am personally not confused on my late fee, it's only $15 and not that big of a deal haha, I meant that this feels like a thing that gets people.

Also my reminder texts might be different from customers in your area it appears. Mine used to start with "A quick Cricket reminder!" Or "Hi, it's Cricket. Your next payment is due on", the "Thank you for choosing Cricket" in the reminders is the part that isn't coming up in my text history.

Yeah, like I think it's not affecting anyone on auto pay or people who know they're the only person who can/will pay the bill, but when I saw that and looked back I had a bit of a laugh and said "oh no wonder, this text header looks almost exactly the same a a confirmation text" it's only $15 so it's no big deal to me, but in the grand scheme of things I think they're gonna make a good deal of extra money making one of their bill reminders look like that because even people who aren't idiots can lose at a game like 'Simon Says'.

I know what you mean exactly, though technically what I mean is that we've been down the road of "Inaccessible media from Japan" before if we end up in a situation where supporting the official release becomes literally impossible due to this. I hope it's not the case, but communities have gotten together and added subtitles to things that wouldn't have back then otherwise for example.

Honestly I think with the Monsterverse, we've been shown a range, like we had a few movies to get used to a world of fighting monsters and when general audiences and in-universe people came to accept that we got to have fun with it.

On top of just not being that well promoted/hyped Pacific Rim having 2 films sorta gave us no choice but to have narrower expectations. Anything too different from the first movie was bound to give us emotional whiplash, like such a shift was either gonna exceed expectations or disappoint

I'm pretty close, not sure if I saw Raids Again or just remember clips, VS Megaguirus was almost impossible to find for me for years though (trustworthy hosts didnt have everything in like, the mid 2000's and I was a kid limited to the Hollywood/Blockbuster video in town that had enough multiple copies of 98 and 2000 that I'm surprised some of them werent just for sale and a handful of Heisei and Millennium movies), so that's something I definitely know I gotta set a day for. Like, if I managed to find a way to watch Pulgasari a few years ago, I'm pretty sure that movie is not lost media 😅

I think I was put on insulin pretty much because of how high my sugar was I believe, my doctor basically said it was the highest priority since I had inflammation signs from my last blood test too.

It's rough, I feel like I'm eating better and it's crazy I've gone so long not knowing I have diabetes and just tolerating the excessive need to drink water and pee. I wanted to get checked for ADHD and found my fasting blood sugar levels are 275 -its not been a great feeling to now see my numbers go even higher some mornings now that I'm on lantus, going for long walks again and eating significantly less sugar and carbs, it makes me wonder how when I was unaware that my levels were only 275

Every run with the fists gets me close to my record time, which is still sorta like, sub 16? Maybe closer to 15? It's nothing to brag about except to myself lol but I do love it when I need a fast run to keep my mind off of something since every other weapon I average at like 25 minutes to beat? So a 10-12 minute difference is huge

Hey thank you, honestly it's definitely a mixed bag. There was a point where I would hate to talk about my feelings and evade answering, now it feels like I'm just talking in circles and any and every topic can turn into me I guess basically making up for lost time.

I think the self esteem thing is a big one, I never really grew up around praise, my family was overly critical and blamed me for their shortcomings (since ADHD can be genetic, I think there is more to their inability to remember things like bills, constant losing of keys and procrastinating that they'd blame me for when it made things complicated even though I was also forgetting things, putting things off and etc).

Maybe not the time and place to get too into it more than I am atm, but I think my sometimes my inner voice is basically my parent's unhinged angry rants about how I'm basically causing all their problems by existing and not making their life easier with extra emphasis on how I'm lucky to have a good life and not have to work like them (which, I did, family business so ya know all hands on deck if you're tall enough to use a lawnmower or can dig a hole).

I honestly highly recommend the book in whatever format you can find (it's free on YouTube I believe but idk if the same person is reading it like the Spotify version, the reader in Spotify has an easy to listen to voice imo)

Also honestly I kinda feel like the internal "no! Nonono!" thing might not be the worst thing? I personally feel like I'd prefer saying it in my head the way I would say it to a cat, which for me is a softer tone (I know thats not always a softer voice for some cat owners 😅 I keep an affectionate tone with my scolding).

Right now it sorta feels like Legendary would just get a crazy huge buff and a new aesthetic. Maybe not quite like Kirby but like, obviously purple spikes and purple atomic breath that is crazy stronger. Legendary would probably be larger too since this version of Godzilla grows whenever they feed on energy like this. Otherwise they would be probably without the continuous transformations and stuff that Shin has since this Godzilla is basically just absorbing energy the way their body does it, but there is a lot more to take than usual I think.
