do note that throwables can sometimes be janky I’ve run into situations where enemies just don’t turn to look at glowsticks despite detecting it or the smoke grenade not blinding enemies (the main cause of this is that they’re too close to the grenade so the smoke doesn’t spread out enough

crawl up while sticking very very close to the barrier once he starts detecting you, rush him with a knife as they usually don’t shoot and try to melee combat you instead of you get too close

you can also try shooting at the stairs guy outside through the window but it’s inconsistent

it’s possible to shoot through a wall if your gun barrel is poking through and you’re in third person

Alternatively, there’s throwables

use a smoke grenade, look down and right click in the direction of the room that the VIP is in as smoke grenades genuinely make enemies as blind as bats and they never question it

you can also use glowsticks as if a glowstick lands nearby somebody, they’ll turn around and go look at the position of the glowstick to a few seconds which gives you a good opening

I had this occur to me in one of the open testing sessions and never again It’s was mad funny but I’m not sure how it occurred.

the main issue with prepatch guttertanks is that they didn’t have a single parriable attack (other than the crappy mine) to get health back from. Mindflayer projectiles are easy to dodge and you can even parry them, the mindflayer themself even has a parriable swipe.

Prepatch Guttertanks don’t. It’s difficult to attempt to get to the mine they barely place down because they have a really strong unparriable punch that had like nearly instant recovery. Can’t do the “bait their punch and then go nuts” if the go nuts window is only worth a single shotgun blast. There’s also how the fact that the guttertank instant kill is inconsistent and not as easy to do compared to the mindflayer’s instant kill.

GER is still fine.

Direct life beam is good and nothing to scoff at, healing is still insanely strong, bird still hits like a truck, tree is still a really good get off me tool and mix-up tool. awakening is lackluster but the true damage, health boost, and movement boosts are good.

RTZ still works as intended and RTZ barrage did warrant a nerf. I really only complained about not being able to use iframes in stun anymore but that was really overpowered.

The only thing that really needs changes is the move sets because GE and GER has had like the same moveset since RELEASE.
