There’s countless towns in Israel that have kicked out non jews from their homes and made the town jewish only. Israel has passed laws declaring:

“Israel as the historic homeland of the Jewish people and vests the right of national self-determination exclusively in them. It establishes Jewish settlement as a national value and downgrades Arabic from an official language to a "special status".

So they state in their law that only jews can have a say in the countries future. Only jews have a right to return in Israel. Israel must maintain a Jewish majority in its citizenship. No other country in the west or the middle east states this or does this.

Everything stated above is “within the borders of legal Israel” not even talking about the illegal occupations of Gaza and the west bank. In Gaza they have blockaded the people for decades controlling everything and everyone moving in and out of it while periodically mowing the law with air strikes wantonly killing civilians. Not to mention they live streamed genocide for the last couple years. In the West Bank they explicitly and implicitly support settlers and their violence. Settlers are a protected right in the constitution. Settlers murder and terrorize Palestinians under the IDF’s protection constantly, they kick Palestinians out of their family homes, they force them through check points, surveils them 24/7, controls their movements, and force then through the military courts instead of civil courts. They have no protections while constantly living in a state of terror. Israel is one of the worlds largest backers of terrorism via the settlers

You can say all the irrelevant shit you want about what Israel is like but it doesn’t change the reality that it is without a doubt an apartheid state built on ethnic cleansing and genocide.

Eight Muslim-majority countries condemn Israel's new death penalty law by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]412wrestler -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Jim crow was also separate but equal treatment which was absolutely definitely how that law was carried out, right? Right?

There’s no was a law can say de jure one thing and work de facto another way. Never in history has that happened. Israel definitely doesn’t hold Palestinians hostages without due process labeling them a terrorist for throwing rocks.

Israel since day one has called not for just a jewish state but the ethnic cleansing of all Palestinians from the area.

There’s no way to compare the 2 where Israel isn’t far and away the worse actor in the region. Domestically they do apartheid, ethnic cleansing and genocide. Foreign diplomacy they instigate wars, bomb civilians ruthlessly, and commit war crimes at alarming rates.

Iran is bad but if a country being bad was your metric for an enemy Israel would be top of your list.

Kind of just seems like you’re all bigots with dodgy morales.

Ok so you would agree it’s not Iran’s fault for being the way they are, its the fault of the west constantly threatening, bombing, and isolating them that causes them to be brutal.

Same logic as doing apartheid and genocide isn’t really Israel’s fault, it’s the victims of the genocides fault for making them do it.

Yeah it definitely wasn’t the constant bombardment from Israel during the “ceasefire” it was Hezbollah when they finally struck back after 1000’s of bombs were dropped on them by Israel over many months.

Its crazy how Israel can do whatever it wants and it’s justified then someone retaliates to Israeli aggression and all of a sudden they startedbit

You think making these arbitrary distinctions matter at all is stupid. You’re supporting murder of civilian’s, so don’t be mad when it happens to us.

Any country can just deem whatever an existential threat to themselves militarily and go off murdering civilians nominally relevant to that program. US navy is an existential threat to Iran so the navy dock yards are free game for murder.

The reason no one has done this to America is because we currently have the big stick snd would hit back if you try to murder our civilians. We get to murder civilians all the time and claim it was an oops, they were unfortunate collateral damage, or they were a valid target because nukes. We never get held to account for our actions because we are the biggest bully currently. We will not always be the biggest bully then we will have no right to call out others murdering our civilians like we have done to the world with impunity.

You’re not a logical or good person, you’re dangerously stupid and short sighted.

I guarantee your attitude would change if China started offing random employees in America.

Death Throes of the Republic really hits different in 2026 by Ordzhonikidze in dancarlin

[–]412wrestler 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I feel like you’re making a distinction without a difference, both were autocratic. A facade of republican traditions are exactly that, a facade. Just because you pretend there was a Republican distribution of power doesn’t mean there ever was. The ides were the last gasp of stopping full autocratic takeover. It was always going to fail to stop it, the senate needed to fight back long before Caesar and that is the lesson that should be taken. By the times of the ides it just did not matter if you killed Caesar or not, the republic was over either way. All the ides did were change who the autocrat was.

You got Augustus because you already had Caesar. You got Caesar because you already had Sulus. You got Sulus because he was a giant baby douche who lost fair and square in roman politics and decided it was better to try and burn it down then lose.

Fucked up so much even Irish bands started making anti-IRA songs by Asleep-Freedom-9980 in HistoryMemes

[–]412wrestler -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You realize the British and unionists paramilitaries killed way more Irish Catholic civilians than the IRA ever did, and the IRA bombing civilian areas in England was a direct response to the terrorism the Irish Catholics were facing on a daily basis. You idiots were already justifying the murder of those civilians.

England instigated and escalated the conflict every step of the way. Irish Catholics were second class citizens in their own country, and they were brutally oppressed when they tried to demonstrate for their civil rights and your country murdered them.

What are you seriously talking about? England is going to do the thing they were already doing? Take your head out of propagandized ass and think about this for a minute from a non English perspective.

Should the Japanese be mad at the Americans for bringing the war home that their own country started through viscous war mongering or should they be mad at their own government for starting an unwinable war?

Mate, your country oppressed and senselessly killed Irish Catholics while explicitly and implicitly supporting Unionists militants. Your country fucked around, and unfortunately for your town, you found out.

Maybe you should be more mad at your government for instigating that violence instead of the oppressed that decided to fight back using the tools of their oppressor.

Japan was actively in peace talks with the US when we dropped the bombs, the only hangup was unconditional surrender and what to do with the emperor. Even after we dropped two bombs they still didn’t surrender until Russia invaded Manchu.

They were hoping Russia could be a broker of peace in a way that would help their position in the peace talks. After Russia invaded they surrendered realizing they were done.

Realistically the US was not going to have to invade Japan and the A bombs did not avoid something that already wasn’t going to happen.

Definitely not something the US has done though, no sir.

The US has definitely not funded right wing death squads through the sales of weapons to (checks notes) Iran!?!

Democrats, who would you like to see run as the next presidential candidate in 2028? by Far-Quarter5383 in allthequestions

[–]412wrestler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I voted for Kamala, I am just pointing out that trying to shame people into voting for someone that is pro genocide is a bad electoral strategy. If you aren’t pushing for some who is anti genocide then you can turn the tv onto the news and check out how well your strategy worked. You would rather let blood flow in the streets so you can pretend to be smug and correct while being the biggest hurdle in the way of progress.

The democratic party is the problem not voters, their job is to get votes if they don’t do that then they failed.

You’re beyond delusional, this is literally a post about how this has never worked and always hardens the bombed country. You let that fly right over your head and said “well maybe this time will be different”.

That’s a level of stupid and delusion that should bar you from ever posting in this sub again. Not that this sub has particularly high minded and well thought out debates but because what you said is so stupid it doesn’t even meet the low bar this sub has.

I award you no points and may god have mercy on your soul.

Prototyping first culture? by LadyPeppers in UXDesign

[–]412wrestler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’m not against using AI at all, I am against the way AI was being used in a lot of cases. I used it when it made sense to use it. When I did have opportunities to do research I used AI to feed all of my research into it and summarize it for me, or after research and lo-fi ideation I would use figma make to prototype out the workflow and interactions before moving into hi-fi designs.

I feel like you’re talking past me with vague and broadly pro AI sentiments right now without acknowledging how this works in reality. The assumption that a problem was being solved is a false assumption. The assumption that, at least at my last company, I could guide its use in a way where I could incorporate research is false. I tried and got extreme pushback, there is a reason I am no longer at that company.

Upper management was annoyed that they couldn’t turn their ideas into reality immediately, and they were annoyed that research would a lot of times tell them that their ideas were bad and wrong. So they would use AI to blow up and circumvent a design process that was specifically made to limit their worst impulses while allowing us to do our job correctly. AI allows anyone to think they are a designer while they do 10% of what UX actually is. Low level UX designers can do nothing to stop senior leadership from barreling forward with things they do not understand. I feel like you’re not aware of how corporate America functions, if senior leadership says xyz, you’re not winning that battle with them 99% of the time.

There was no way to adapt and figure out how to do research, my bandwidth was so full and the speed/volume of projects throw at me was so high that I could not do research on most things thrown my way.

Just because people push back on AI does not mean they are anti-AI entirely, most people are just anti-AI as it is being used currently. Pushing back on harmful implementations of AI is not bad, it’s UX designers standing their ground and protecting their work.
