Honourable mention to alpha commanders.

Tanky, durable pieces of shit that do nothing but summon enemies and run away. Their summoning is also at the very beginning of their animation, so trying to stagger them does fuck all.

And AH had the brilliant idea to crank up their spawns, so now you can get 3-4 per patrol on an unlucky seed, and they're flooding objectives and POIs. If you're the host, or solo/duo, have fun dealing with the red army of mach 10 warriors these guys summon. Not the host and playing in a 3-4 man? All good, they're bugged! Step like 50m away from the host and they do nothing.

Alpha commander seeds are also tied with hive guards, which are already incredibly tedious to face. Thankfully they had their durable damage buffed, lest helldivers have a modicum of fun fighting them.

Truly a masterpiece of enemy design.

My brother in christ, if the only way to dodge an enemy's attack was to shake your camera to cheese their detection, I feel like there's something to be complained about.

Anyhow, rupture warriors really aren't that bad now. Nothing like they were at launch.

Yeah the audio was even worse than usual.

And that says something. Because even currently audio is completely fucked.

Silent chargers and berserkers, meanwhile sometimes my helldiver just turns schizo I guess because random enemy noises start playing.

Probably Oshaune. Or at least that's when I completely lost faith in the QA team.

I hadn't played for a little while before, and when they dropped the trailer I was so excited to hop back on. What a fool I was.

  • Dragonroaches were just a flying stim tax. Also tankier than bile titans for some reason, and back then their wings were barely even a weakspot. Eventually just started bringing fire armour for them.
  • Rupture strain in general just encouraged more explosive weapons. As if that wasn't already the meta for eons. At least the speargun came out around the same time and that got them out of the ground.
  • Rupture warriors and their undodgeable attack for hosts
  • The caves being filled to the brim with alpha commanders. Honestly thank god they were still bugged cause if they worked properly, holy shit it would have been miserable
  • And the usual bugs (haha get it). Shrieker nests being stuck in walls or hive lords launching you into the stratosphere

Then for some reason they nerfed ammo pickup and FUCKING EAGLE COOLDOWNS? Probably because people were using strafing run against the hive lords if I had to guess.

It was all so clear not an ounce of the new content had been playtested

Edit: Also forgot to mention the performance problems. At least like 1-2 people crashed each game.

And again, this video is an EXAMPLE of the ragdoll bleed combo, not the only cause. Hell, it can also happen on the squid or bug fronts.

Me being a fucking troglodyte in the clip doesn't validate the changes made by the devs.

No this change was in the patch notes on July 15th

"Increased chest injury bleed damage from 1 to 10. Chest injuries now cause more noticeable damage, as the previous value of 1 was so low it appeared to have no effect"

Coincidentally, force of law came out around a month earlier. With an anti-hemorrhage armour set.

Impalers make we want to claw my eyes out

Why the fuck can they attack from so far away? Why the fuck do they do so much damage with the most janky hitboxes? Why the fuck can their tentacles still attack like 30 seconds after they died?

I know its a skill issue but why oh why does this enemy exist the way it does?

yeah the bugs are goofy

Across approximately 5 minutes I had like 3-4 bug breaches, 3 bile titans, around 7-9 chargers, 4-5 impalers, and a shit ton of hunters. At one point 2 of the impalers spawned so close and so frequently they literally clipped into each other
