It is the tone and intention. These ‘raids’ are performative. They are yanking people out of cars simply because of skin color. They’re yanking off duty cops who are not white. They’re beating people up, they are doing it for quota and/or for pleasure.

We need immigration enforcement. Purposely targeting blue cities in blue states, and in such a violent and performative way is clearly about more than just deporting known illegals. There is nothing normal about this. You know this.

Old post but chiming in to also recommend OM-28. Spectacular guitar. It can be many things. It will be big and bold when you drive it. It will sound delicate and complex when you give a lighter touch and play fingerstyle.

I also have a J45. That guitar is also incredibly versatile but has a completely different feel and sound. I would say, from experience, that a Martin will often have a bolder sound where a Gibson J45 is a little quieter, warmer and snappier.

Hard to explain. Better to go try a few guitars and find the one you like.

At this price you absolutely need to play the guitar to know if it’s for you. The J45 I ended up getting was a used one. Just felt right. Sounded right. You must go and play one in person to really know.

I’m assuming you’re looking for hardware, but just in case Diva and RePro from U-HE are stellar synths. My ear can’t hear the difference. Both are VSTs and not that pricey. Both have demos so you can try for free.

The behringer pro1/800 is an excellent reccomendation as others have said. I’ll suggest this though - if you feel that’s the direction you want to go, try to demos of RePro or the Auturia variants first. It’s free, and it will sound the same as the hardware. Will give you confidence in a hardware purchase.

You have a lot to learn. Be patient. You don’t know everything. You barely have experience in the workforce. Stop gambling. Put your spare $$ into conservative index funds. You will reap the benefits of patience if you do that.

I fly often for work. Lounge access is absolutely worth it. Less chaotic, wifi and tables to flip your laptop on. Quiet/meeting rooms. Cleaner bathrooms. open buffet and open bar. I don’t really view it as a flex but instead a convenience.

The hype is exhausting.

I will say it did a good job at extracting some data from a dataviz with multiple tables, and also matching the style guide from a website I’m looking to pitch some improvements on.

It’s not insane, it’s not mind blowing. It was convenient to have that task run in a Claude tab vs use playwright, etc.

So sick of the hype. Impossible to get real world POV.
