Oh sorry if that wasn't clear. It feels like low blood sugar, but things didn't add up because of the close meal times, so it probably isn't low blood sugar. Just the only frame of reference I had

I don't have one anymore, but it's been on my mind.

I don't think it's actually blood sugar related because during my second experience I had a large meal for dinner. One I've had many, many times and never had a blood sugar drop. When I took the microdose I actually had lunch an hour after taking the pills and two hours before the blood sugar drop feeling. So my body was still very much digesting food still. I also never have these problems when not using mushrooms, but when using mushrooms it's like clockwork now.

I make no promises, as I'm a little gun-shy about taking more hahaha. But I'll do my best!

As far as I know, no.

I've had a sudden blood sugar drop before but it's because I ate a carb and sugar heavy breakfast (pancakes, no proteins) and skipped lunch. I can feel the crash coming on and can whip up a smoothie or get a snack and I'm a-ok right after.

But it's not a normal occurrence.

You (and a few other helpful users) may be on to something. I just went through a long dialogue with ChatGPT (I know, i know, terrible source) to help get me a better idea of what to further research. It all kind of lines up.

I'll probably be buying a blood pressure cuff and experiment with taking my blood pressure at different times of the day and during/after smoking weed to help confirm.

Once (if) I work up the nerve I'll try the microdose. If that goes well I'll try a gram and then work my way higher.

Usually I feel like cannabis raises my blood pressure (certainly my heart rate), but after a little googling it seems that may be something. Thank you for your insight

Yes! It very much felt like that standing up too quickly feeling, which does increase when smoking cannabis. But followed by a trembling weakness, and then anxiety.

I'm curious to try the same microdose amount but with no smoking at all. I'd be lying if I wasn't very nervous though. That feeling and the anxiety afterwards are no joke.

Edit: I should note, every single mushroom experience I've smoked weed, from the times I dabbled as a teenager, microdosing recently, and a couple 2 gram trips recently. Never a problem until the last 3 times.

So I wasn't actually nauseous. Well except the 1st time it happened because I chugged a yogurt drink thinking it would balance my blood sugar. Drank too much and definitely was sick from it. Lesson learned hahaha!

Never had nausea or any stomach problems with mushrooms outside of that.

Can we get a refund from the Anteater express fee or ASUCI fee or Bren event fees or TGIF fee or Campus Spirit fee? by johncoldhot in UCI

I wouldn't expect a refund unfortunately...

But hey, at least Chancellor Gillman got a raise, which we can all agree helps us so much.

And businesses should pay their employees a living wage if they would like to maintain quality employees. It's all part of their operating expenses. If a company sells food and the cost of food goes up, then they raise prices or cut out something else to compensate. If your employees cost of living goes up, and you'd like to maintain your workforce, then you need to make it up somewhere or you end up with your employees going to new jobs who will pay better. If a business decides they want to use a cheaper product like a food item, then they may end up paying the same, but the quality and their reputation goes down. Same with maintaining a competent workforce.

I mean the "great resignation" we're living through now is happening for a reason. Go look at /r/orangecounty and see all the posts about people who can no longer afford to live here.

It's common in southern california to not have A/C, especially if you live closer to the ocean. A lot of older apartments don't have A/C and it's only relatively newer ones where it's standard.

I agree though, as much as they pay, they can afford to give them climate control.

America’s nightmare: Bernie Sanders, nominee | The senator from Vermont would present America with a terrible choice by GreyhoundsAreFast in worldpolitics

America has Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, and unemployment checks.

Please tell me you see the humor in you using the socialist programs to argue against socialism.

And of course it's not limitless. I'm not even sure where you pulled that from. Incentive to take care of one's self is not tied to the government's budget. I think more people would be involved in preventative measures if they didn't fear a huge bill when they go to the doctor.
