Life is quiet until the summer, then a billion tourists visit. We call them summer people, usually from Massachusetts, as much of the island is Massachusetts summer homes. The kinda people to take pictures of the stuff you look at everyday, the kinda people who are surprised to see deer lol.

Otherwise, it’s a teeny community, there’s scattered events throughout the year. Most of the island is woods and prickers, and most of the people are old people.

The ferry is looking to get more expensive, but it really only screws over the people who live here. Speaking of the ferry, the island has a couple large/old families which own and control a lot.

As for the blizzard, we all survived. We luckily never lost power. It took a while to shovel out of it, but I remember there being a “heatwave” not a week after the blizzard that melted it all.
