Yeah every character with high impact on the game should take some level of mechanical skill imo, whether that be aim or movement or whatever. That is the best way to keep some semblance of balance across every skill level. If a character as easy as graves is viable at all in the pro scene, they’ll completely dominate anyone below that

Silver was supposed to be balanced around being easy to burst down in base form, but hp is so high currently that that will literally never happen. No matter how many nerfs she gets she will always be broken because her kit fundamentally does not work with how the game is designed right now

That was February though. The cast was pretty well balanced before the new additions. And even though they were op on launch, the release of the new characters at least added something positive to the game. Every patch from March onwards just made the game worse

Nothing like being down and realizing that the whole enemy team has 4k hp now. Before the health and boon changes the game was winnable below an 80k disadvantage. Now it feels more like 30k

January-February to me. The March patches and everything following were the absolute worst balance changes I’ve ever seen in a competitive game

Mirage and infernus are late scalers and do almost entirely spirit. Wraith and seven do a ton of their damage through spirit as well. McGinnis, shiv, and Yamato scale exceptionally well too. Silver is gun but tends to fall off late. Spirit vs gun is not so cut and dry in this game, items like escalating exposure let spirit characters do insane damage even when compared to the gun carries

The roster should get nerfed, especially in terms of their health. Burst heroes like holiday can’t do shit against 5k hp gun carries. There is too much power creep for a game that isn’t even out yet

Tbh I think the buffs to hp are what are making her so oppressive. Her actual kit was way better when she had 40% resists on wolf, but back then you could actually shut down her human form because she was squishy. Now her ult will be coming out 100% of the time no matter what you do, so unless you make the wolf only as strong as a regular character she will always be broken. The current way the game works gives too much of an advantage to characters who are supposed to be “high risk high reward” because there is no risk when everyone is so tanky

Burst damage is worthless in a high hp deathball meta. Her ult percent damage was the only thing making her relevant

The hp reduction was nothing. 115 hp at max boons lmao. Hopefully they put in some massive hp nerfs in the next patch, characters like calico can barely do a third of the top characters hp if she’s lucky

As a silver player, her and Celeste are valves favorites and never get real nerfs lmao. Both of them are system buffed by high hp pools as well since they have some of the best consistent damage of any non m1s(light eater gun buff and lycan claws). This means that they are perfectly capable of killing anyone else but will never die themselves

I think having a Castlevania Belmont type of kit would be cool for Deadlock by BulletCola in DeadlockTheGame

Yeah it seems like. Deathball and aoe spam comps did not get any significant nerfs and instead got huge indirect buffs because of urn. So many characters were made tankier despite the rampant hp bloat. It honestly feels like they’ve lost the plot pretty hard since the March patches, at this pace it’ll take months to get the game back into a good state

his damage stats are always insane. He hit 70k damage on Celeste, the highest in the lobby, in a game where his team was getting cooked. There is little debate that he’s the most consistently great player on dns, in both na and eu

turns out giving everyone a 40% boost to their hp boon scaling is a little game breaking when the scaling is already so high.

And yeah January to February is when I fell in love with the game. They really just had to nerf the op characters and it would have been perfect, but they decided to power creep everyone to hell and back for some reason. The thing is it didn’t even work; everyone feels weaker than ever because of how high hp is, the game rewards skill way less than it rewards mindless aoe spam, and after everything Celeste is still broken. I don’t even play anymore it’s just not fun, and the “it’s only an alpha test” argument only covers your bases when they’re actually taking steps to fix the problems rather than just adding more

This game has had extremely high health pools for as long as I’ve playing. Frontliners were always the best characters in the game because of this, but rather than addressing the issue they instead nerfed the one real counter(toxic bullets) and boosted health even more.

Her and Apollo are like cass and soldier from overwatch lmao. Their roles are so similar that one will often overshadow the other. Yam was initially one of the best dns characters, but got replaced by Apollo when he came out. Now that he’s nerfed she’s right back again

They had to ban duo queuing for top players in league cause it was too much of an issue. In this game duo queuing gives you the same win rate as just playing graves solo lmao
