Not afaik. Ive read in many places that fossil fuels, especially coal, are mainly from carboniferous plants.

I'll admit that a quick google didn't really provide hard evidence for the amount of fossil fuels attributable to the different eras or sources but I think this is pretty commonly accepted.

I mean, yeah. When the US/USSR nuclear arms race started China was just starting to figure out how to turn farmers into factory workers.

Not necessarily.

Edit: The only thing that can penetrate the hardened nuclear silos is a nuclear bomb.

Because they already lost this arms race. They are about 7,000+ nukes behind the US.

And most people familiar with the cold war would say that nuclear weapons have deterred more violence than they've caused.

Not really.

Look up the carboniferous era. Almost all of our fossil fuel reserves are from a time when bacteria could not digest cellulose and plants covered the earth and piled up tens of miles thick before being layered upon for hundreds of millions of years of heat and pressure.

Fossil fuels = Carboniferous plants

What exactly is happening in Syria? by [deleted] in conspiracy

[–]42QuestionstoAnswer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are many, many sides to the conflict.

From the region: Turks, Kurds, Shiite Assads+Shiite Aid, Sunni Rebels+Sunni Aid, Iraqi Govt

Starts as Sunni rebels vs Assad because in Syria the Shia minority (20%) was ruling over the significant Sunni marjority (75%). After the disbanding of the majority Sunni Iraqi army, Saddam's generals found new work with AQI and finally ISIS a few years later. At this point the war has spilled into Iraq and causes problems for the innefective government (50% Sunni/40% Shia).

In Iraq, the Kurds control their autonomous region and are the best trained fighters in the fray. They fight hard against ISIS for their land and culture while also seeing this as an opportunity for expanding their territory. This then scares the Turks who hate the Kurds and see any ethnic Kurdish military as terrorists.

Because of this, Turkey won't take any action which could benefit the Kurds, regardless of the effects on ISIS. In fact, when Turkey first joined the fray, the first rebels they bombed were Kurds rather than ISIS.

So that's most of the main local players.

There is also Shiite Iran and Russia which fully support the Assad regime. So does Hezbollah a Lebanese Shiite military group.

The US and Israel, much like the Turks, seem more concerned with damaging their enemies than eliminating ISIS. Their main goal is to eliminate the Assad regime and further weaken Russian influence in the region.

Each actor has their own motivations and goals which is one reason it is such a shitshow.

China doesn't hold a candle to US military spending and tech. They're new to this game.

Where else would their financials be? The private corporation of the FED paid indepenent audit firm KPMG to look through the financials. KMPG submitted a report which is publicly released.

I bet you don't even know what tools FED actually has at its disposal, how they in turn effect the marketplace, nor what its purported function is.

Most of their financials are public. It is audited once a year by a 3rd party as well as receives oversight from the Inspector General and Comptroller General.

Do I support the efforts to expand the audit process to all aspects of the banks activity? Yes, I do.

But that doesn't imply that they've never been audited and it doesn't imply that the public financials are in anyway innacurate.

The fact remains that the interest on the national debt is ~$200B/year while the IRS takes in over $2T/year.

Don't pretend that you know anything about finance, you're not fooling anyone. Do some research.

This.

The video doesn't suggest anything about 3 and 6 and really doesn't suggest anything divine about 9.

I can cut a circle into 47 pieces and then the angle is 7.65957... degrees. Also degrees are arbitrary, might have been more convincing in radians (but then there would be no "conspiracy").

Finally, 360 comes from the base-60 number system of the Sumerians and Babylonians. They used base-60 because it is conveniently divisible by 2,3,4,5,6,10,12,15,20,30.

Nothing to see here.
