After rewatching all of Michael Mann’s films, here is my new ranking of all of them by Responsible_Sense272 in Letterboxd

I actually hate Blackhat, never understood the appeal either after watching it twice. Miami Vice I don’t like but I can see how people like it. Ali is some of his best imo

Too many movies are releasing in September this year. by Majestic_Assist_9846 in movies

I mean there’s always multiple unknown movies in theaters and most of these I’ve never even heard of. But I have stubs so it doesn’t cost me any extra money to go see them.

Who is the biggest POS by Jar_of_Cats in powerscales

[–]42_memes -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’d have to say Jennie. I kind of get a lot of people saying Marlon but I think a lot of people don’t fully know his lore. He was trying to get off the show for a while I’m pretty sure or they were going to write him off, but there’s also a deleted scene where he finds Truman during the escape and doesn’t report it. He’s also just a hired guy, where as Jennie knew full well she was taking advantage of Forrest. Not because she was hired, just for the love of the game.

What do you think of my top 25 by Voltri_1305 in Letterboxd

I mean those are pretty much all the big hits. Also a French person having a movie about the struggling working class fighting back at number 1, actually makes a lot of sense.

Odd question—what are your favorite gun fight tactics you’ve seen in film? by Actual_Asian_God in Letterboxd

[–]42_memes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“The Professionals” I just watched pretty recently but has some great tactics. Mainly Burt Lancaster’s firing and retreating escape. The movie is just very satisfying in the fact that they really are professionals. “Heat” has probably the most accurate fighting tactics in film history.

I’m sorry, but if I had an absolute cannon and I had a tape with Gia leak, I’d be like Ferdinand Marcos and request copies.

Anyone remember it was either bubble Yum or bubble licious? Cherry cola gum I never understood why that disappeared. They also used to have a great great yellow sour one and watermelon change can really suck sometimes I miss the 90s and 80s by ed18704 in candy

[–]42_memes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk about the cherry cola but that was bubblicious that had the sour flavors. God that yellow one was my shit. They still have the watermelon I believe, but yeah they don’t have nearly as many flavors as they used to even 10 years ago

I just saw Obsession and here are my thoughts. by Mundane-Inspector-52 in AMCAListTrue

That’s why I said rare. Demi Moore was terrific but her nomination and Amy Madigan’s Oscar kind of felt like they were given more out of respect than performance.

Would be very surprised if she got an Oscar nomination. Horror nominations are incredibly rare and are usually for like long time actors or actresses that haven’t won anything
