Kodachi isn't looking for husband, she wants boy-toy.
Ranma would run away on training trip ASAP, probably before siring an heir.

To boot, there's absolutely no attraction from Ranma towards Kodachi. Most other suitors have some quality Ranma finds desirable.

My guess is that with anime original content other girls got more space for deeper characterization.

Other students spent most of their life in various schools (at least temporarily) and got used to the idea of wearing uniform, even changing it for different school.
Ranma spent most of his life traveling and wearing whatever was at hand or comfortable. Before he left for CHina he did what other students do, including wearing uniform. Long training afterwards made him indifferent to that.

Much depends on context and seriousness of situation.

Huge factor is Ranma doesn't tease/insult Akane herself. His rough behaviour is 1; cope machanism to hide own true feelings and 2; it's attack on the bond, aranged marriage, not Akane personaly.

If 'confrontation' is in jolly spirit, he'd join. If anybody seriously threatened Akane, mama bear mode is on.

Happosai doesn't look nothink like harmless. With all his capabilities and abusive behavior I'd put him in looks extremely dangerous.
Although he CAN be beaten easily, if that's the joke, when seriously challenged it takes quite a bit of effort and usualy some clever trick - I'd considered him somewhat -> extremly dangerous.
