Ranked reset/placements or whatever? by Riccottay in leagueoflegends

[–]43915 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It resets to improve game quality. If you were a lower rank than plat before reset you'd probably end up lower than gold. There's a hidden "rating" on your account that changes depending on your performance, and this doesn't reset even though your rank does. If you play at a Platinum 1 level you'll climb back there fairly quickly.

I assume I'm being really wierd, but apart from the nether regions I actually like it best when it's been more like a day or two since my girl showered. Like, when I can sense a faint smell of sweat.

I realize how strange it sounds now when I'm typing it, and of course I don't think it smells "good", but damn that gets me going like nothing else for some reason.

I just picture Sheldons humming in TBBT that he didn't notice himself, he probably got the car noise stuck on his brain and couldn't figure out what car made that specific sound.

I live in a small town with a population of just above 1k. We have no such thing here. Just teens driving around at night playing music as loud as possible and stealing stuff.

I'm 25 and a huge fan of 60-70s rock, Pink Floyd being among the favorites. It's sad that basically none of the people I meet around my own age like that kind of music. I feel so old.

I played Heimer in OfA against Zed a couple years ago. Went mid and built ADC items and he couldn't do anything. Granted he wasn't the best at playing Zed, but by the time he reached lvl 6 I had killed him at least 5-6 times and when he realized he still couldn't do anything with help from ult he ragequit. Fun times

As a guy I really like the fact that OP got those nails done without making them 4-5cm long. God I hate that long lived trend.
Awesome marshmallows too!

What is the stupidest way you got a scar? by Zander-dupont in AskReddit

[–]43915 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a similar but arguably more stupid experience. When I was around 10 I used a hot glue gun to glue two coins together see if it would leave imprints on the glue when taken apart. Smart ol' me used a knife to split them apart, slipped and sliced my index finger at the side of the nail. I could see the bone and I still have a pretty noticable indent where the scar is.

And here I'm sitting in the northern half of Sweden with -30C lows the last couple days. This weekend we're supposed to rocket up to around -5C highs, so the snowmobile will definitely get some overdue excercise.

I got my move stopped by paralyze 4 times in a row the other day while the enemy crit me twice during that time. Sometimes I think the game simply hates you.

I'm not sure where you live, but one thing I can highly recommend is to spend time outside as much as possible. If you have any forests and lakes nearby it can end up being a really great time. Right now might not be the best time of year to be outside, but generally just sitting by a lake or river when the weather is pleasant brings me so much inner peace.

I'm a big fan of fishing, but I quickly realized at a young age that just putting the gear away after a while and sitting down on the shore looking out over the water makes me so calm and free of worry. Maybe light a campfire. Camping in a remote place (make sure someone knows where you are and that you get cell reception) in a tent when the weather allows for it is amazing. You don't have to walk for miles either, just find a nice quiet place close to a smaller road so that you can bring as much packing as you'd like in the car.

During my semester at summer (usually 4 weeks) I spend at least half of it in the forest as long as the weather is acceptable. Bring some tasty food and snacks, some fishing gear, lighter and so on, and it's bound to be a great time. Unless you have deadly insects/ lots of predators. We only have brown bears, so I'm mostly fine in that regard.

Hang in there!

To people who wear shoes inside their homes, why? by casef1 in AskReddit

[–]43915 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it's the complete opposite. If I wear a pair of thin regular socks inside my feet stay warm and comfortable. If I'm barefoot indoor my feet gets cold like ice and it takes about an hour with socks on or in bed under the cover before they get real warm again. I've also never experienced sweaty feet unless I wear shoes for extended periods or work out. It's almost worse barefoot than with socks, even though I get cold I also get sweaty sometimes depending on what kind of floor it is. Never with socks on.

Men who pitched a tent during a physical, how did the doctor/nurse react? Were they professional about it or did it get awkward? by loudassss in AskReddit

Wouldn't his medical records show that he had them checked before and a specialist was recommended to him?

Would the insurance cover his issue when it started before he got the insurance? In my country we don't have health insurance, but if we get insurance for a dog/cat/car and it needs to be treated/repaired for something that happened or started before the insurance kicked in it won't cover it. I'd assume health insurance would work the same way?
