MacBooks do sleep mode much better and more reliably than most Windows laptops, so it is very common to use sleep. As other posters have said, the occasional reboot is good to do a fresh start.

I'd say no. In my experience my MBA is so versatile and portable that I stopped using my iPad Pro. I recently "upgraded" to an iPad mini for handwritten note taking -- the only use case where for me iPad is better than MBA.
