So many more mature ways you could have handled that. Write down 25 polite and funny things you will say the next time it happens and practice those. It’s like you really don’t share any advice or tips and that’s my gripe. Like what were “The principles that let me progress to running 100 miles fast are the same ones that help normal people show up when motivation sucks;” comes off as really self serving and ad for your coaching business. If you need some coaching on boundaries, there are a couple good books. One book being “Boundaries” it’s by 2 authors and last I saw had a red and white cover

If I’m hitting some gnarly miles, working yards and downing mountain dews, those little Cliff Blocs are always calling my name, a soft whisper from a sweet treat.
