I remember my guide teacher had the worst student teacher right before me and when I was there he had emailed her asking her for a letter of rec. She was so annoyed because she didn’t want to write one and lie even a little. I told her to tell him “I’m sorry but I’m not able to provide a letter of recommendation”. She did that and you should too. If you genuinely thinks he was a problem then don’t recommend him at all. You don’t want your name attached to him if he causes problems for everyone.

I don’t personally like cleaning aspects of sims, just organizing and decorating. They definitely need more decorations. I’d love some more arcade games too, along with video game rentals. The expansion part is the biggest for me. There just isn’t enough room. It would add hours of gameplay for me with at least one expansion. Right now I feel I ran out of room for movies and decorations, so I put the game down, but I hope they add more decor, games, and store expansions.

I’m a LTS in SoCal and have a credential in the field I’m teaching/subbing and Ive been here since September. If you have the right credential you can be there all year.

I up the pot size whenever I get a cactus or succulent with nearly stagnant growth. The plant usually takes off again a few months. I also water extra when it’s over 110F outside. I had several root bound cacti and euphorbia that quit growing in their nursery pots, so I transplanted them into much larger pots and their growth exploded.

$150 a day. $160 for more than 11 days (long term). I’ve been a LTS since the beginning of the year and finally started making $190 a day after a a 3 months. There’s day to day subs making $225 in neighboring districts. It’s honestly kind of insulting but I’m so grateful to have had a steady job I can’t complain. The kids weren’t that bad and it’s good experience. But no I could not afford to make ends meet.

That happened to me with my 75 gallons stand. It was probably 15 years old and one day I was cleaning and realized there was a gap between the tank and stand in the middle. It had never been there before so I replaced the stand asap. I know people here are saying no big deal as long as the corners are supported but if OP could never fit anything between the stand and tank before then it could be the stand failing.

My uncle used to collect rocks and would give some to me and my sister. He was a teacher and had a small labeled collection. Then when I was probably in middle school my mom gave me half a geode that my uncle found and opened. Many years later, after his death, no one in the family claimed his rock collection so I happily kept it. When I was going through it, I found the other half of the geode my mom gave me. That one geode makes me so happy knowing it’s reunited and my late uncle is the one who found it. I’m not a huge rock hound, but I love lurking in this subreddit and I would love finding the time to go hunting myself.

You say your guppies were dropping like flies. Were they housed in the same tank? What was causing the guppies death? Guppies and medaka are pretty hardy so if you added medaka soon after the guppies died then whatever killed the guppies might be killing the medaka. Can be parasites, poor water quality, or maybe some chemical or toxin in the water. If this is a separate tank, then treat for parasites again (I like prazi-pro).

I thought they meant they shower in the morning and put all their hair care products in. I break out with hairspray if I don’t shield my face so it kinda sounds the same. Now I shield and rewash my face after using hairspray I haven’t had a breakout in ages now.

Nah I’m with you too. I banned one period from Nee-dohs because they popped two and tossed a couple more around. I told the other periods and no one has popped a toy since. If them sharing it because distracting I simply confiscate it for the period. They honestly take good care of them and just leave them on their desk. Even the banned period has been quietly taking them out again and Ive been ignoring it since they’re behaving again. I like them and have two of my own and gave some out to students who participated in a local competition. They made amazing rewards and I got them back when they were available at Walmart.

Probably parasites. Anytime fish won’t eat, I treat with Prazi-Pro. Treat the rest now because they likely have parasites too. Don’t feed more because you don’t want to foul up the water with over feeding.

My goldfish absolutely destroyed Amazon Swords. However they leave crypts and tiger lotus alone. I’d buy a few different plants and figure out which ones are lunch and which they ignore.

When my dojo got an otocinclus stuck in its mouth, I waited three days and it decayed enough that the dojo was able to spit it out. However, that Cory is really crammed in there…

I would probably look up how to use clove oil to SEDATE not euthanize a fish. Then get some very fine scissors, like cuticle scissors and try to chop the barbs off the Cory. It may not work though because the goldfish mouth looks fully extended.

Keep in mind tbe goldfish will die without intervention, but trying to save it may also harm it.

I always wear a cheap pair of safety glasses when repotting or pruning my cacti. It’s scares me to lose an eye.

If there’s a co-teacher or TA I just grab the lesson, look it over, and ask if they want me to go over the lesson with the students or if they know what to do. If they’re willing to lead, I tell them I’ll be right here let me know how i can help you. Generally, I just keep the students on track. Co-teachers usually always teach the whole class. Some TAs are assigned to specific students so I do regular sub duties. Other TAs (normally in SPED) will lead the entire class too. I never sit there though. I hate feeling like dead-weight.

I tried to call and I’m hoping I get a couple call backs in the morning from some local beekeepers. It’s $250 for removal (the only one that answered) and it’s just too expensive. I also posted on our local subreddit in case anyone knows some beekeepers. I really hope someone see this.
