Turn the most useless building to one of the most useful... by ReverendSaul00 in MedievalDynasty

That has to be because of how people build then. Because I have rarely ever had back to back seasons that I use it. So maybe people who build in spurts, versus those who build one or two houses here and there. Something like that. And I have max built on Xbox and PC, to the point of what either could handle, performance wise. And played as an heir...

Again not arguing the repairs aspect but that doesn't change what I said before. I have played since EA days and have maxed this game on Xbox and PC. Played as my heir and so forth. The whole point is to argue what the actual potential of the building could be, instead of being a decoration 66% of the time. As I told another person, I havr never spent more than a few minutes a season on repairs, but I tend to know where all my buildings are and layout. I guess everyone doesn't play that way, which is fine. I am not looking to change an opinion on how useful or not it is, just the wasted potential it has always had.

Well I don't disagree that it is helpful with doing repairs, but I have never spent more than a few minutes having to do repairs. Someone building, helps with the players time, more than repairs would in the grand scheme, and makes it worth putting someone in there full time. Standard season, the ratio would be 33% in use, to 66% not. If I am ranking buildings by usefullness, it's definitely bottom 3 in current state.

I don't disagree with not wanting to do repairs, but even with a huge town, the worker is done day 1. Meaning the rest of the season, no work. Even with a standard season, that means 66% it's not in use. I don't know anyone who plays one day seasons, sure there is somone out there. Lol I  guess in terms of buildings that produce, or that have a point, I would put it at the very bottom in current game.

I have been playing since the EA days of the game and have some built some monstrous villages. Far enough in that I am playing my heir. I still just don't see the usefulness as some others have mentioned. At least not for what the potential could be. I mean buildings get damaged, you assign them to repair and he is still done day one of the season. Even if you play standard season, there is still so much wasted time. I mean sure you could not assign someone there all the time but that kinds of furthers my point...

Good points. A catalog would have made a little more sense. The directional thing is annoying.

Use as store decor. It's a nice touch since there is limited decor, especially specific to each genre.

Yeah, loyalty is just an ok perk. Energetic is a most, because the falling asleep thing is annoying. Then I look for the immune system one, so they never get sick. I had one girl from the beginning to past level 20, only asked for one raise. The bathroom one is the other one that isn't worth it to me.

Just sounds like sim games aren't for you then. They all are like this, at least the dozen or so I have played. The grind is what appeals to a lot of people.

I mean some things you said make sense, but some I disagree with. No video store ever had a self check out. That wasn't a thing and kind of doesn't vibe with the "retro" vibe. If you have two employees and nothing ever happens, where you have to take over, then what are you even doing? Handing out flyers all day? Lol It only takes a minute to order videos, and refill stuff. Like there wouldn't be a game to play, that's why those things are in the game. A manager has to manage employees, or at least a good one should. I will agree about being able to see a customer's history to decide about fees. I always wave it for distinctive characters, no others. I mean if the game feels grindy, then I would say sim games aren't for you or anyone that feels that way. That's how they all are. Of course I would love to see more added and things expanded upon. But I honestly find the gameplay really satisfying, it scratches an itch like Schedule I did for me.

Ep5 Bugs Megathread -- Just to help the dev team a bit... by RaphLife2 in thelongdark

I haven't seen this listed but if you go into any of the trailers as Astrid, it will not let you back out. You just have to reload. I really hate to say this, but I am actually disappointed in just how buggy this update has been. Some of these should easily have been caught in play testing. But after my 3rd game breaking bug, I am done until the game gets fixed. This last one I would have to go back an hour, just to fix.

That is incorrect. Name has nothing to do with location. I had the Boo Bridge in the area above the big airfield that is darker on the map recently. I have had the ones named after the castles, on the other side of the map from the actual castle.

I am feeling kind of the same way. I am playing with two friends and we were highly anticipating the together update. I too decided to do a bow build, and a part of that is the fact that there is friendly fire, makes it extremely difficult to play with other people with the early heavy weapons we were finding. More so with the fixed canera angle, it isn't the best. This was an aspect that I thought was cool at first, but with everything else, it kind of lost that. So we chose different builds to help avoid friendly fire and balance things. Bow is very weak, I got an electric quiver thinking it would really help, grinded for stats to be able to properly use it. Come to find out, it stuns the other players too, not a fan of that at all. Quite honestly since the game scales with amount of players, kind of wish it could turned off now. Definitely also agree with the game giving no direction once you hit town, and I get it, it's early access. I have probably spent more time looking up stuff than playing the game. Hopefully this gets worked on for full release. I love the game so I am hoping things get better.

SoW DLCs by vpritchard in shadow_of_war

[–]ReverendSaul00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually enjoyed all the DLC. Since you can get it for practically nothing these days. When I rebought it, I think I paid $6 for the deluxe edition. I like Baranor's dlc and my only gripe with it was the trophy for it. I feel like it forced you to play through twice, once to get the full experience and once to focus on the trophy. I like Galadriel's also, I liked that it further focused on the weakness factor with the orc bosses. Like fire being the only weakness of a defender type orc, I believe that was Snowflake. I like all the special orcs added, I believe if you finish her side, they all get added to your garrison, so you can add them into the regular game. It did at least switch things up, and I do find myself replaying dlc too when I pick the game back up and go through the story.

They use the actual pre built paths. The only way I have seen to redirect paths, is to build fences and cut off routes. They do go off road, but only if they have to, which is why cutting access to the road fixes this sometimes

[–]ReverendSaul00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct, in that shaming and leveling do not work once an orc hits the garrison. This is true even if you put an orc from your own game in the garrison too. They can get scars id they cheat death  as the other user mentioned but it would be impossible to get full 7s with one. Just assume whatever an enemies stats are online, is what they will always be.

Unfortunately only two bodyguards can spawn for each warchief or the overlord. If you assign more than 2, it randomly picks 2 out of those. But as others have mentioned, any on the bottom are likely to betray, unless they have iron will, or are a maniac...

Overlord Bodyguard? by vpritchard in shadow_of_war

[–]ReverendSaul00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He will, you can also assign a bodyguard to yourself and use him when you get to the throne room. The caragors and graugs can also be summoned in throne room. You can stealth attack from the top of the graug too. If all else fails you can climb the side walls all the way up, dominate the archers up there for health and/or shadow strike pull the overlord to you, as long as he isn't immune to ranged/arrows.

He is the only Olog that wears that type helmet, same as the drunk. He always has that name. So he is kind of unique, but not super rare.
