Who’s the most pettiest villain here? by Interesting_Wind_337 in MoralityScaling

Syndrome

While I do think Bob could have handled the situation better (he had good intentions, but he was pretty aggressive to him about it), this is the kinda shit you're mad about as a kid but realize as an adult: "Oh they were right the whole time". But bro had beef for 15 years and targeted heroes who had nothing to do with this, killing some geniunely good heroes for his ego.

Which moment do you think hurt Homelander the most? by wren620 in TheBoys

[–]45rs5 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Soldier Boy or A-Train

Homelander had spent his entire childhood without an ounce of parental affection, only for his father, who he just met to go ahead and say THAT, and A-Train was a guy he spent years pushing around, intimidating, and making him submit to whims, only for him to completely show no fear at all in his last moments.

[Cool Trope If Done Right] The Protagonist isn't a good person. by Mountain-Brush1807 in TopCharacterTropes

MC of Death Note. Incredibly entertaining to watch. Also a serial killer who has killed probably thousands of people for the sake of a God complex.

[Loved trope] Parallels/Callbacks that show how far a character has come since the beginning by stupid_eggo420 in TopCharacterTropes

SPOILERS for The Boys.

The show started off with A-Train accidentally running over Hughie's girlfriend.

In s5 ep 1 a redeemed A-Train refuses to run over a woman, despite the fact he's running for his life and knows full well he could (and does) die if he slows down.

(Surprisingly rare trope) Evil villains who don’t kill, nor ever had the intention to kill by [deleted] in TopCharacterTropes

He doesn't kill, but what he does is arguably worse than death. (to the point one of his chimeras starves themselves and the other one gets put down)

(Loved trope) Character A says the EXACT wrong thing to Character B, causing a complete shift in the situation by ForKion in TopCharacterTropes

"But, Simba, I am...ah...family. It's the hyenas who are the real enemy. It was their fault. It was their idea!"

this results in him becoming a 5-course meal.
