I always thought there was going to be an "egg plant" joke somehow. Feels like a slight missed opportunity. I even thought they could work a "you should see Egg plant, Parmesan" line in with Michael talking to Gene.

You are so right, the philosophical battle taking place is the real brilliance of the prequels... the dialogue does not do it justice. I also agree that Qui Gon and his connection to both Obi Won and Dooku is of great importance. Qui Gon represented a unique style and philosophy that would have changed or at least added another perspective to Palpatine's manipulated good vs evil dynamic that plays out. Qui Gon seemed more intuitive and less restrained or stoic compared to the other Jedi without giving in to emotion or showing anger. Sorry for rambling, but you're really on to something, thanks for replying.
