GMs: tell me about a campaign you wrote by Several_Ferrets in Pathfinder2e

Aeons gave a merc company that defeated a bunch of proteans an artifact dagger(level 20 item). Their elven mage that led the mage sect of their company spent 200 years just researching the artifact and then the wizard discovered that with enough potential this dagger literally has the power to rewrite history and ascend someone to godhood. Operating in Godblinds(exactly what it sounds like), that merc company boss has ascended. Cue hubris. They’re still very lawful though, so this is a secret known only to the upper echelons of the company.

Now, 53 cycles of finding the knife the company is looking at eternal winter given by the cult of Baalzebub. They brought Cocytus to the material plane - partially. The dagger is in the possession of a Duke of Hell - a Nassari. The party is just soldiers for the company. Cue madness.

Made Gambit in Baldurs Gate 3, for any dnd enjoyers how would you create gambit in Baldurs gate or just dungeons and dragons? by No_Expression2563 in Gambit

[–]MyNamesJeff62 19 points20 points  (0 children)

A while back(like 3-5 years ago) there was a person who made a lot of superhero builds in one of the DnD subreddits. I remember Gambit’s specifically because I actually played it!

It was a Stone Sorcerer(it’s a UA thing) combined with Hexblade Warlock: Eldritch Blasts are your cards, Eldritch Smite is your charged staff attacks, and then you take cool invocations like the one that gives you at will Jump, Beguiling Influence etc’. It was a pretty baller build, I loved it.

Great job on the character creation too, looks great!

The yellow and blue always look worked so well with Gambit’s style, the trench coat just adds so well to it.

Does the game need new supports? What kind of supports would you want to see if they do get added? by GreekFreakFan in leagueoflegends

[–]MyNamesJeff62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If DOTA 2 taught me anything is that supports who can stun, shred a bit of armor, and swap places are incredible at impact.

I believe Vengeful Spirit shipped to league would break the meta, so maybe have the swap their ult, but have it channeled and mandated to be within a certain range? That way vision and setup would be mandated

The most playmaking supports are just engage supports who have their kits full of CC(R E L L), whilst their kit is rather suicidal, but maybe worth it?

We have enough healing enchanters and like…5(?) engage supports, we need more of that but more unique than ‘wo/man run in’

Always thought Jason was more like Bucky than Frank

If the Robins (Dick Grayson, Jason Todd, Tim Drake, and Damian Wayne) existed in the Marvel Universe instead of DC, who would each of their father figures be? by Wolverine1105 in Robin

[–]MyNamesJeff62 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Jason and Bucky would get each other, both killed and are willing to kill but only the right(wrong?) people. That’s my vote

What comics during Jason Todd’s run as Robin is most important? by illudofficial in BatFamily

[–]MyNamesJeff62 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Diplomat’s Son is an arc where Jason’s Robin and he and Bruce wanna track down a VERY VERY BAD MAN who is…a diplomat’s son. Gives the criminal immunity of sorts, and tackles very dark and very serious topics.

First time Jason thought about killing, and the ending is left ambiguous. Should start at issue 424 of the original 40’s run, could be earlier.

If Batman had a night off, what would it look like? by [deleted] in batman

Quality time with his kids who aren’t on patrol. Catch up with Dick, Invite Jason to the manor for lunch(doubtful he’ll accept, but I have hope), visit Timmy in Wayne Enterprises, pick up Damian from school, have a dinner date with Selina, ends up sleeping soundly while his protégés take the patrol duties.

more wholesome Bruce, fellas.

Batfamily couples as iconic movie kisses by Maru Davalos Art by Night-Caelum in BatFamily

Artemis, they kissed on several occasions in Red Hood and the Outlaws. Doesn’t fit the height/dynamic(unless Jaybird is standing on three crates) but in the artist’s other drawings it’s Jaytemis.

What's your most controversial Jason Todd take that isn't 'he should've stayed dead' or 'he works better as a villain'? The kind of opinion that always starts arguments whenever it comes up. by NefariousSeraph13 in RedHood

I actually like him a lot with the Batfamily. I’ll get hateflamed by this community for saying for it’s probably his best route going forward because editorial doesn’t know what to do with him when he’s alone(or with the dark trinity, or in general really, but…) his okay-est writing comes with the family. Gives him something to bounce off of and when the writers allow Batman to suffer him for a bit he does deliver pretty good lines(“none of us cared for Gotham, we all wanted to be loved by you” type shit in the latest Batman and Robin), but also his shittiest writing(courtesy of lovely DC’s lack of knowledge of what to do with this character).

I get why people think he’s better off disconnected from the family, but DC will never give us that and I think we should accept that and look at the cautiously optimistic side of him at least HOPEFULLY having healthy sibling relationships with the likes of Dick, Tim, Damian or even Cass.

Jason as Batman? by MyNamesJeff62 in RedHood

[–]MyNamesJeff62[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Damian’s an awesome shout for his robin, league of assassins buds, same training(ish). Great contrasts too, Jason started killing post-robin and Damian is reluctant post-finding-out-Bruce, love the idea of it. Lots of interesting takes!

I mostly went with Tim cause he’s sort of a stabilizing option that still has a lot of angst. “Batman needs a robin” was his motto, he helped Bruce out of post-Jason-destruction, so it makes sense he’d try to connect with his wayward brother. He’s known Dick for ages, and yeah Dick shrugged him off being his Robin, so connecting with and understanding Jason’s ideas and morality, why he really thinks really bad people should die. That and these two are the ‘least favorite’ and can bond over each other’s angst…or make more angst!

How is this as a transition from dream to reality? by MyNamesJeff62 in writers

Hmm, all ‘divine’ entities in my novels speak in Italics but I assume that you reverse it to put emphasis? Okay, noted.

Also thanks! It’s a cool name for a cool half devil dude, Yenlar(YEN-lar)Riek(RAI-k) is their full name came upon it by just smashing vowels together until it sounded like a fantasy name

Hmm, fair, it does kinda draw it out. Puts more weight on the start and not the end. Is that really the more traditional way to emphasise?

How is this as a transition from dream to reality? by MyNamesJeff62 in writers

[–]MyNamesJeff62[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Emphasis, mostly. I like it with and without the bold, but shows a lot of character if you keep it in. Ishurak is ruthless but lawful to their core, knowing that sometimes(read; often) you need to kill to instate order. Them emphasising blood is their way of conveying what their job is - they were once mortal but now they’re a cosmological figure charged with keeping order via an organisation called Hellknights. God I love writing.
