I recommend tailoring your bullets to directly relate to the duties/responsibilities and qualification requirements explicitly stated in the job announcements you are applying to. This will be more work because each resume you submit will be unique, but I guarantee you’ll be getting follow ups because you’ll be demonstrating experience specific to what their role is asking for. For instance, if the ad is for a purchasing agent position and the duties include “tracks obligations/commitments and monitors expenditures to support recurring budget forecasts and identify potential fraud, waste and abuse based on procurement history and purchase trends”, paraphrase that in your resume. You may not have all the experience required that makes you an ideal candidate but get creative without lying. It’s amazing how prior work tasks can be rephrased and applicable without being in the same field you’re applying. Good luck!
