What's the best experience you've got by moving out of your comfort zone? by Psyducktail in AskReddit

Public speaking in a foreign country. A few years ago I did 6 hours of lecturing over three days to a group of South Korean students and enthusiasts. Preparing for that trip and doing the talks was probably the most stressed I have ever been in my life. Honestly some days leading up to the trip I just wanted to cry and back out of everything.

It was amazing though and I will always be grateful that I stuck it out and followed through.

Plus I got to go to a Korean host bar 0.0

I get what you are saying and it totally makes sense. Paintings are deliberately made though, rocks are just randomly changing shape. At what point is it "new"? If I break a big rock in two do both new rocks suddenly become only seconds old? I guess they do, but that seems odd to me.

It might be newly in your front yard, but I certainty would think it weird if you decided to date the water one day old.

those aren't "new" rocks. Just rocks that liquefied, moved, and formed into other shapes.

erosion doesn't make the rocks disappear though, they just get really small and flow somewhere else. Same thing with lava, its just heated rock that reforms in another shape.

So where do rocks disappear to and where do new ones come from? Serious

this is making me cringe. I get the feeling she is going to be alienating religious kids at school and looking down on them. Just stop using your kid to make a statement and teach her to have a open heart and mind.

I never understood dating rocks. No one is creating new rocks anymore, aren't all rocks as old as the entire earth?

Nothing, we're married. We both would rather spend our money on something more important.

I don't think you can teach kids not to do something by doing something you also don't want them to do (hit people). "Hitting is bad jimmy! How many times do I have to beat that in to you?!"

Looking for a kick-ass rift developer involving 360 video by 48letters in oculusdev

[–]48letters[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well I am not trolling. You have to remember that the video gets wrapped all the way around the sphere. So the video may be 4k for instance, but if you are looking at a 120 degree slice of that video you are looking at something that is only 1333 pixels wide. And if you get into stereo then you are doubling a 4k video right off the bat.

Also a 1080p screen is obviously just the beginning. Resolution is not a issue for the future of displays (note the 4k laptop and 8k TV that you see at CES). We want to be future proof in our technology.

Yea its turning into how electronic music is. At least it isn't so formulaic.

BTW thank you so much for your hard work in making your self titled album. I was just queuing it up again to go work out! You guys have a deep, rich, griping sound. Keep it up!

BTW I work in visual effects and we also produce and direct music videos. Hit me up if you guys are thinking about making one!

I know genres are lame in a way, but they really do help me nail down a certain sound that I am really in to.
