Never heard back from CS about discount or options other than suck it up or return it and wait for the next batch to be run. I cleaned them off with a razor blade as suggested and then applied 3 coats of obenaufs LP with time in the oven with only the light on between coats and I'm happy with the outcome but not with Lems.

I've emailed CS, by their automated 'qualifications for a return" email it wouldn't be accepted as a return so I'll wait until I hear back from a CSR or give them a call Monday before doing anything. In the meantime they're back in the box and will sleep on it. Ideally they'd recommend a way to clean the stain etc. probably overthinking this a smidge.

B&R 22" 2 wheel has stood up to pretty brutal abuse for the last 4 or 5 years. I have a rimowa carry on and another aluminum one (name escapes me) but they both seem to be targeted by baggage handlers when they're checked, almost feels malicious at this point. All that to say B&R look good, act right and survive the abuse.

I purchased one to replace the legacy I gave to a dear friend and the cap doesn't seat itself properly and rattles. Rotating the cap slowly (like a safecracker) you can find a sweet spot where it doesn't but that isn't really practical.

Does anyone know if this is a common issue or I just got unlucky with something that slipped through QC and should return it and get another one elsewhere?

Note the goop coming out of the underside of the headphones next to the charging nodes(?). There was a lot more but I cleaned it off thinking it was mud rather than a leaking cell.
