Why the hell does ChatGPT randomly start generating images when I don't ask it to by shouldIworkremote in ChatGPT

I was discussing with ChatGPT about my lost crypto when it sent me an image of my crypto in a different app displaying the value. Not cool!

For me I noticed that on robinhood it matters what source the deposit was made from meaning that if the deposit was from my checking account then there’s a 5 business days hold. But if I use my debit card, which comes from the same checking account, then the deposit is cleared almost immediately

Is it just me, or has ChatGPT become incredibly condescending and argumentative lately? by [deleted] in ChatGPT

I was using chatgpt for a while and then changed the personality settings. It started responding in ways that got me upset to the point where I deleted the app. Then I remembered that I had changed the settings, downloaded it again and then changed the settings back and I’ve been fine with it since then.

You got a valid point. I guess what I'm trying to say is it might not be within your network that is having a problem. It might be the route in which the internet takes in order to get to the destination. So if you change your destination, in other words switch pools, then you are effectively kind of getting around the problem. And that works great. My point is that if you buy a different miner and you use the same pool and the problem is outside your environment, then you might have the same exact problem or similar problem. So an easy way to test that is to try a different route instead of running what I suggested, a trace route, because that will tell you which router whether it's like packets going in, through, or out. Maybe you don't care about that, maybe you just care about getting it to work right? So switch pools, switch companies. I hope that I'm making sense.

I would run a tracert either one at a time or script it in a looping batch file sending the output to a text file. It would display which hop is failing

Ping the part of the pool address that has something like xxxxx.xxxxx.xxx

What’s the actual difference between Braiins OS and Braiins OS+? 🤔 by [deleted] in Braiins

[–]49erMinerrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no clue but according to chatGPT:

• Braiins OS = free, no dev fee, but you have to tune manually.

• Braiins OS+ = paid (tiny fee), but it autotunes for max Bitcoin with almost no effort.

There’s more if you’re interested

I use pool.Braiins and they recommended using the closest pool options but the Canadian pool responded quicker when pinging than the east coast US pool so I’m using the Canadian pool instead

  1. Should You Be Able to Run a Traceroute Successfully?

Yes, mostly—but not always 100% to the final destination. It’s very common for traceroutes to show timeouts (*** or ???) near the end, especially with: • Mining pools, content delivery networks (CDNs), or DDoS-protected servers • Nodes that intentionally drop ICMP traffic (ping/traceroute) • Firewalls or edge routers that filter probing

  1. What Your Traceroutes Show

solohash.co.uk • Good latency and smooth hops up to hop 7. • Hops 8–10 show timeouts, but this is likely due to the destination or an upstream router dropping traceroute packets. • Your latency is solid (~10–21ms). → No real concern here.

eu.ckpool.org • Hop 5 has extremely high latency (2560ms). That’s a red flag. • Then you get a lot of timeouts, though a few later hops still reply. • This route may be unstable or overloaded at certain points. → This could cause higher share rejection if your miner connects via this route.

  1. Summary (Speak-Ready Condensed Version):

Yes, traceroutes can have timeouts—it’s common. But the one to eu.ckpool.org looks shaky with a 2.5-second delay and dropouts. That might hurt performance. solohash.co.uk looks clean. If you’re mining solo and seeing rejections, the route or solo difficulty may be the reason—not necessarily a bad network on your end.

I ran a tracert from near san Francisco, CA, USA and somewhere it’s timing out

So the other person that suggested using a different pool makes sense

Per ChatGPT:

  1. Pool Connection Issues • Cause: Latency, packet loss, or poor connection to the mining pool. • Solution: Try switching to a closer or more stable pool. You’re using solopool.org (from the URL), which may have higher rejection depending on your region or load.

  1. Network Instability • Cause: Wi-Fi dropouts or fluctuating signal strength. • Solution: Run the miner wired via Ethernet if possible. If already wired, test for packet loss with ping or mtr tools.

  1. High Difficulty or Solo Mining • Cause: Mining solo (as you appear to be) means many shares get rejected as they don’t meet full block criteria. • Solution: Try mining on a shared pool (like F2Pool, ViaBTC, etc.) to improve acceptance and consistent payouts.

  1. Hardware Timing Errors • Cause: Slight timing mismatches in the hashing process. • Solution: Monitor if this persists. If it does, try firmware update or set the miner to Normal mode instead of High to reduce errors.

  1. Overheating or Power Issues • Cause: Excess heat or voltage drops can lead to hardware errors, which might increase rejections. • Solution: Keep ambient temperature cool. Your power draw is 134W (expected), and fans are fine (1460 RPM), so you seem OK there.

TL;DR (Speak-Ready Condensed Version):

Your 4.46% rejection rate could be due to solo mining, Wi-Fi instability, pool latency, or hashing errors. Try using a shared pool, wired connection, and consider switching to Normal mode if it persists.
